Here in Northern Ireland we will always be eternally grateful for all PB did for our riders and road racing in particular. It wouldn’t have been an event without him and his team. God bless the man.

Fantastic tribute Shane, these people leave us and leave such a huge impact on the world. A lot of people just waste their lives, moaning and never achieving anything. Situations like Paul Bird are so very very sad. As you said Shane, Paul had so much to offer and put into the world but you and many many others were totally robbed of this amazing guy at a ridiculously young age. Racing is so very difficult and hard to get into be it running a team or a racer,Paul's achievements were absolutely incredible and would have gone on and on.....surely. My heart goes out to his family, this must have come as an horrendous shock. Once again Shane, fantastic tribute, so very sorry for your loss and all his family and friends, i didn't get to ever meet him but i have a few friends that did. R.I.P Paul, you've more than earnt it absolutely no question. 👌.

Had a brief chat with Paul at Brands a few years ago, he was happy to chat even tho I was a guest of Tyco. A huge character and a vast gap left in the BSB paddock now. The word legend is all too often used these days, but I think it can be appropriately used in this instance. RIP and condolences to his friends and family.

Briliant tribute, I remember BSB commentary recalling how Paul Bird had told Kiyonari that he'd have to find Kiyo a "Big fat Northern lass" to help him settle into the UK when he was here 😂😂 RIP Paul, one thing with getting older is seeing those familiar faces slowly fade away, thanks for the memories PB 👍

Nobody is perfect and it’s often some challenges and adversities that deliver the most successful people , Paul was an achiever ! remember that Paul did a lot more good than bad , very few have contributed so much to so many in motosport , the world of racing is a poorer place without him , RIP Birdman a real Northerner, A real petrolhead .
