Hallo, Mr. Baker, I was a student of Mr. Starker in Bloomington, 1976-1978, later then Principal Cellist of the States-Orchestra in Kassel, Germany. In the 90th we had a conductor coming from Caracas. His name : Georg Schmoehe. I'm not sure, but it could be him. Thank you very much for this wonderful collection of Gabriella. Really outstanding playing, we played with Mr. Starker in the 90s and he sounded as good as he’s ever sounded on Dvorak Concerto and Brahms Double with his son-in-law William Preucil.
