Many folks are not aware when Jerry would reach the last few minutes of Telethon. On several occasions the total was shy one year by several Million. Jerry would receive a Anonymous Telephone call from a donor who would make a pledge to surpass previous years total. That annonomis donor was Wayne Newtown. Mr. Newtown is a very very generous person. I have first hand knowledge of the wonderful work MDA does for folks. My Aunt who at 75 had been caring for my Uncle who had MD since he was 42. Wheelchair bound by 75 it was becoming very difficult for her manage. Dressing, Showering etc. etc. We contacted MDA they came in remodeled her home making it Handicapped accessible widened door ways, a lift on shower, new bed, new chair. They sent a Home Health Nurse everyday for 4 to 6 hours. Medicine, Cooking assistance many times just a friend for my Aunt. All of this for FREE, NEVER A DIME. This they did for about 10 years. Now that is a Non Profit Organization...

I used to love watching the Jerry Lewis labor day telethon
LOVE IT! I could watch 21 and a half hours of Ed's intros and cutaways! Good stuff! In later years they no longer did this due to time. Thanks so much for posting. Great job with the edits. Very clean...

I love the Jerry Lewis Telethon moments! I love the hilarious moments & especially love the "Final Timp" moments they are really awesome! If you have the CMN or UCP Telethon moments, can you upload those as well? I would love to see their final tote board moments as well!

I hope some day soon Mr. Jerry Lewis will come back to the show, for the kids and for all of us so he can say his goodbye to all of us the right way. Don't you think he should? What do you think?
Does anyone remember when Jerry Lewis used to say, "Connect me with the witch." He was referring to Ed Mcmahon,sometimes near the beginning, Ed would predict the amount on the toteboard, and Jerry would be shaking his head, he'd find it hard to believe.
