I've been singing along with B.J. for (ah Lot) of years, to this morning, making breakfast, "What Ever Happened To Old Fashioned Love" & "Roc N' Roll Lullabye" I always include B.J. in any set list. Mr. Thomas has always been one of my favorite singers. He helped define the late-60s and the 1970s. He has gone now to his Savior. God bless the Thomas family. 🙏

No Heaven didn't get another angel . People are not angels nor do they become angels, no where in the Bible does God say that . God don't call those of His home because He needed another angel and for people to make such a statement is adding to God's Word those who add to or take from God's Holy Word will go to Heaven ,for they make a mockery of God's Word by adding to it. God created the angels and 1/3 followed Lucifer /Satan if God wanted more angels He would have created them. The Saints will judge angels they do NOT become angels ,but be like angels in that we do NOT marry nor die. There no marriages in Heaven and none given.. I know B.J. was a Christian. If I had any doubts I both heard it from Christian singer/songwriter Steve Camp and saw something about him a few years ago. His Christian music was great and I had his albums, but not everyone who records spiritual music is a true believer. I have my doubts about some I will not name. God knows the heart. I hope Glen was also. I think he was. Both cherished parts of my adolescence in many ways

B.J.'s passing is a real tragic loss for me. I've been a real fan of his since 1966 when he recorded " BILLY and SUE " when I was on my way to Vietnam. Such a great song. " Momma " was another tear jerker that reminded me of my mother growing up. B.J. never made a bad song, he was great and I know that I will miss him. Thank God I have most of his music, he'll live forever while I play his great songs. Rest in peace B.J. you had a reserved spot in Rock and Roll heaven.

"Two Car Garage" is the song of his that I remember the most. That was on the radio all the time when I was a kid.

He came to my home town in the early 70s.. augusta georgia..I saw him at a local nite club and got to say hello to him. He was singing great music for america..rest in peace b.j.thomas and I'm very glad I got to see you sing..thank you for doing all you did friend..God bless your soul..rest in peace.

The First song I ever heard by him was I'm So Lonesome Could Cry. I thought it was Gerry Marsden of the Pacemakers. I was wrong obviously, but loved the way he sang every song after that. He was unique, and dang it, I had no idea he was appearing in my home town at the Riviera Theater, and just found out one week before he passed from watching some of the songs from that date. I would have loved to see him perform. But; when I go to karaoke this week, my main focus will be singing the tunes he made famous. R.I.P. Billy Joe, you were a great inspiration to me. Amen! He entertained many, made some of our days the best. I’m more grateful for his profession of faith in Yeshua, the best place to spend eternity.

We must remember we also lost Glenn not long ago. He was representative of a golden era (like BJ Thomas) of American music. Irreplaceable is what Glenn and BJ are. They are continuing the show upstairs now.

"Two Car Garage" is my favorite BJ Thomas song. It was on the radio a lot in the early 1980s when I was a kid. He also wrote the "Growing Pains" sitcom theme song, which is another nice one.

Mr. BJ Thomas your songs will always be a part of my heart! My husband died in 1980 in a car accident, I had 2 young children. I was 23. Your songs got me through so much though the Holy Spirit. We played "Home again where I belong" at his memorial. I will always appreciate what you went through. My boys now men with their own families still take your songs to heart. Thank you and Bless you Gloria and your family!

I recently bought an authentic vintage Soundtrack LP this year that had “Raindrops”, and he’s exactly right, it sounds better on the Stereo. Such a great great Artist, singer, and human being. Who says “I Love You”, directly to his fans so sincerely? ❤️ R.I. P.

Another one who does that is Neal McCoy. He logs in on Facebook every morning to say the Pledge of Allegiance and talk to his fans. He's very approachable and appreciative. But B.J. Thomas has a special place in my heart, as the first song of his that I remember hearing on the radio is "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." He really did Hank Williams proud with that version. I know that they are both singing with the angels in Heaven today. ❤️

Sweet man w/ a golden voice...still handsome in his 70's..my condolences...rest in paradise

To me he was one of the greatest right up there with Elvis.(Heck even Elvis liked him-("I just Can't Believing")What a voice !What a gentleman! -"RockNRoll Lullaby" gives me the shivers every time I hear it.I'm so glad I went and saw him in Hamilton Canada 2010 when he came here.He totally blew me away when he did "Just My Imagination". RIP BJ - your music will live ON!

The nice thing about musicians is that their music lives on, and so in that sense so do they. Heaven just got one hell of a singer added to the choir up there.

I am so so sad that I was not able to see him in concert; RIP and deepest condolences to his family; most beautiful voice; You most definitely will be missed!

Hello Maria I did get to see BJ Thomas in concert I think at a fair stage somewhere in around the late seventies. I had bought a beautiful goldfish Seiko watch just months before as I recall. I was living in well below the poverty level in East Tennessee at the time and this item was the most expensive item I had ever purchased around $300. I was compelled to make my way to the front of the stage and hand it to him as a gift for all the beautiful music I had enjoyed over the years. It was an awkward moment as I was a male and most of the gifts he was receiving were from females he accepted the gift graciously and as I eyes met he gently handed the watch back with a smile as to say its mine now and I would like you to have it. It was a beautiful moment of grace in what seemed like a awkward moment. I have been imitating great voices in music history ever sense and BJs songs and voice is my favorite. You will get to see him in concert one day I believe may God bless you! My name is Vegas from ATL GA now 64 year old white male if anyone is curious.

B.J. Thomas has always been my favorite singer ever since Iheard him sing Hooked on a feeling & Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head I have been to 4 of his concerts & I met him after the concert at the California State Fair after his second concert at 8:00 PM. RIP BJ!!! I grew up listening to his songs on the radio.. B.J.' was a Great singer & will be missed.

BJ Thomas is such a classic singer and performer. As a long time fan, it feels like I've lost a friend, as well as one of my favorite vocalists and performers that I was blessed to see in concert back in the day. That concert resulted in my being a long time fan..My heart is broken to hear of his recent passing. He is now in our heavenly Father's angelic choir, probably directing. Rest in heavenly peace in the arms of Jesus and high on that mountain, BJ. You may be gone from this earthly world, but you will live on in our hearts through your music, your children, and grandchildren. Watch over Gloria as her heart is broken, grieving, and as she is trying to cope with the loss of you, her loving soul mate. Let her feel your loving presence so that she will know you are with her through her current battles of loneliness, broken heartedness, and health issues. We love you, BJ. I just hope you know how much you are loved and will be missed by so many..Prayers for all of his family and loved ones. 😭💔🙏

I really loved his music and grew up listening to it in the 70s and 80s.

I was a 14 a freshman in high school when Hooked on a Feeling came out. I use to sing it all the time about my first boyfriend. What wonderful memories, thank you BJ Thomas. I will always love ❤️ ❤️😘♥️ your songs.

I grew up with the most memories of singing “rain drops keep falling on my head”. RIP BJ Thomas

Even though I hadn’t seen him for a long time. .I guess I expected him to be here forever..Gods timing!! I've had B.J.s greatest hits for many years and even before he left us I played it all the time in my car. He was one of the greatest singers ever. I truly loved his great voice and his humble personality. No one could ever replace him.
