I think being unmotivated about playing a game you're not good at is normal. Maybe a disadvantage for KZreadrs like AH who frequently play new games. Many of the games Fiona has been in, the others have all played and she hasn't. That said, Minecraft's controls for this are just moving, jumping and interacting. It seems reasonable to think it's quick to pick that part up.

It's not rocket science. Even when the others have a game that is their Achilles heel, they don't just complain or make the video stop to help them. (Aside from Jack "I'm going to go build a house" Patillo in Minecraft, but we have that great joke from it at least. He was in much less Minecraft videos after that.) Yes, any new game or console is different. It requires you to feel around, but most people get the feel for a controls in less than 30 minutes and there have been weeks worth of videos where Fiona uses the different controllers. As far as approaching games they can't seem to figure out or win, Gavin for instance, introduced "Front flip for style" since he couldn't keep up with the others and just went for messing with the controls and going all in on trying to make the others laugh doing his best to at least entertain as he continued to lose. Now "front flip for style" is something fun to do that the others like trying as well, even when they aren't struggling.

Again, I have to agree with his statement that, while I have never jerked it _to_ and AH vid, I can't say that there's a 0% chance that I've jerked it with an AH video idly playing in the background. I legitimately *like* Fiona. The problem isn't that she's "bad" at the games -- do you remember the earliest Minecraft episodes AH did? They were ABYSMAL at the game. The problem is that they're trying to get her to play games they've ALL been playing for nearly a decade and it just doesn't work since she never really played them before, if at all. Like you said, it's basically them babysitting her and I can't imagine that's very fun for her, them, or us to do as content. A separate bonus series a la Let's Build might be interesting for those interested in seeing her as she learns the ins and outs, but in this video for example, things come to a grinding halt in a way that's kind of frustrating. I find myself zoning out or skipping ahead which is a shame. I don't know what the best thing to do would be. You don't want to throw your hands up and go "alright, never mind, we can't use you," because it's not her fault & she's a fun personality to add to the mix. One option is to pause/slow using her in content while they show her the games in more detail off-screen. Have her in videos with them, but are they also teaching her the games off screen? Does she have "homework" so to speak to go home, learn the games on her own as well? It really does feel like they're trying to teach her just in these videos. I get it, they're busy and are often gone but there's GOTTA be a way for them to give her a crash course in their main games (GTA, Minecraft, etc.) so that she can legitimately start playing with the rest. She doesn't have to be as good; Lindsay is notoriously bad at GTA races but that's okay because it doesn't grind the video to a stop since the rest can go without waiting for her (unless it's the occasional ""Lindsay Wins" video which is still different). Again, I want to reiterate that I like Fiona and think she's a great addition... but someone's got to sit down with her and teach her these games if they want to maximize her potential.

That's probably my biggest issue with her coming in as an addition though, they didn't put any thought into it and just threw her in the mix of things. I don't think it's just her skill level that's an issue, though it definitely doesn't help, but her attitude towards it in general that's my biggest problem. This video she stayed a lot quieter and didn't complain too much - but what did she add to the video content wise? AH used to take this very seriously, or at least seemed to when they first started, even when they were absolutely abysmal at the game. They all know that they don't have to be the best at the game, but they still have to try and add some substance to the video, which she just sorely lacks. I can understand an argument saying how it's because of her lack of skill and feeling so uncomfortable that makes it much harder for her to show off her personality and be an active contributor to the video - which, I still believe should have simply been thought of before, if not at least tried to warm her up to their style of content like they have with literally everybody else that they've brought on (i.e. Jeremy, Matt, Lindsay, Alfredo & Trevor - even Andy and Mica, whom I both actually personally enjoyed) They all went through a gauntlet of videos before making a decision either themselves or with the team on whether or not they should continue, and even then only Jeremy is a part of their core team now in a majority of the videos. For Fiona, they didn't even do that much it seems, I saw her in a couple of videos then all of a sudden they announced that she's officially on the team and in every video? Just doesn't sit right by what my vision of their standards had been previously. I kinda agree with some of your solutions though, that is if she's wanting to take this job serious. Matt himself said it during this video that he spent THOUSANDS of hours playing Minecraft hoping to get a job with AH, and here he is now after all his hard work. Why are they just handing it to her without her having to work or even seemingly want it? They could absolutely make a side series of a personal 'git gud' for Fiona just to catch her up, or she could actually make an active effort on her own for what her literal career is now. Even if she doesn't get great at anything, as long as she's able to contribute to the videos I think that everybody would be a whole lot happier. It's just frankly sad the way it's progressing currently, something has to change.

@@TomBushy Ur It's stuff like this that allows the whole of the fanbase to realize that Fiona was really only hired to fill a PoC role for Political Correctness. There are thousands on thousands of people out there who would be millions of times better as a personality in Achievement Hunter and yet they still hired Fiona. She's an absolute waste and should go back to doing whatever it was she did before.

Can someone explain to Fiona how to use the right thumbstick in EVERY first-person game they play? (EDIT) Guys, I really didn't want a train of Fiona hate. It's a complaint like Jack needing to not talk over Raid instructions in the original Destiny, or Geoff being unable to platform, or even Gavin friendly firing in ANY Rainbow Six game. An AH member being a dumb fuck is nothing new, I'm just complaining about the newest iteration of it. Don't hate. Hate is toxic. Hate divides the community. Change your thinking from "YOU FUCKING SUCK" to "YOU DUMB FUCK", and Fiona will fit right in with the rest of them.

David Zean Ray was at least capable of playing while he lost enthusiasm, this I just can’t understand. Fiona sounded the whole time like she didn’t want to be there, coupled with the fact that she doesn’t know how to play doesn’t make for good entertainment. I’m not here to hate on the new person, I find her amusing when she’s actually enjoying herself, but that was just bad

Well if she plays PC games primarily then I can completely understand. When you play PC games only and then switch to controller, it is a weird feeling at first. Just like going from controller to kb/m is difficult. I was just slightly worried that she didn’t know how to play games at all and wondered what the eff she was doing at Achievement Hunter. But that’s not the case thankfully.

Seeing Storm the Tower in the background makes me really want Storm the Tower X!

I don’t have the problem with Fiona I’ve seen others have, but that is true. Usually they treat new employees a bit differently for a little while, but with her they’re more careful and for longer, it’s awkward. Listen guys, she doesn’t need to be sheltered for being a girl, I wouldn’t want to be. Honestly to me it comes across far more sexist to treat her with kid gloves (if that is what’s happening). Granted the current environment may be to blame, men can lose their jobs for looking at a woman wrong, maybe that’s why.

@@BriarPatchNyra I think she feels incredibly whiny, but I can maybe excuse that for just her not having found her thing yet? But they weren't this careful with neither Lindsay nor the other one that left again, not for this long at least indeed. When they ran her down in gta iv I was like "finally she's getting hazed like the rest of them!" But that didn't seem to last long, she complained and they felt bad. I just feel like there isn't proper synergy, ya know?

That's why I personally never liked Linsay or Mica in a ton of videos cause they were cringe at best to watch. THIS is torture to watch. Cause you dont need to know much about minecraft in reality to play wipeout just casual platforming for most of it and she has shown she cant jump or control a camera.

Geiokami Hasuki like she seems nice but she’s literally just poc meg; does nothing very comedic, only sexy cosplays, cannot play video games well, is conventionally attractive and has a large online fanbase based off of it and that’s it. I wish her no ill will but she literally has no qualifications for this job beyond popular streamer (whose popularity is solely based off looks not skill or comedy imo) It’s just annoying at this point that none of rt can hire a girl who doesn’t completely suck ass at video games! Like im ugly fam but at least I can play in first person pov on console without dying to fire that’s directly in front of me.

Joshua Torres No, they brought in somebody who doesn't play /console/ games. Everybody else there has a long background of playing games with a controller, so they can usually figure out things pretty quickly even in new games, but she doesn't have that context. It's still new to her.

zapheil don’t make pathetic excuses for her. This channel consists of comedy gamers, Fiona is not funny and not good at video games she should not be here. If I employ someone as a construction worker I’m not going to employ someone who doesn’t even know how to hammer a nail. 90% of the audience doesn’t like her and they need to get rid of her before people start leaving.
