I remember I was playing my dad I lose alot to him then one day I had made a game wining touchdown with 55 seconds left my dumb ass accidently rewind it then I made a interception I lost again man

I remember one time I forgot to turn it off and my homie threw an int and the "press square to rewind" thing came up he pressed that hoe and we almost had to fight🤣🤣🤣

I miss some of those old features. 👍 I really miss when they had previous super bowl teams you can play against. It would've been sweet to play 2019 Patriots vs 1989 49ers .

Back track was cool, I always liked when they tried to make the game seem more like a live broadcast

I loved the QB vision made it feel really realistic for me.

I did this to my oldest brother after he scored with 20 seconds left and I started acting confused on why it got "called back" 😂

The Rewind was for solo play mostly..If you were running a franchise the rewind could come in handy sometimes

That was pretty standard for a long time in madden. Usually they had the 2 conference champions from past years in the game. Not sure when they took it out.

I will always remember this feature for when i played my brother and and he never beat. Then one game he throw a hailmary to win the game. I hit the rewind and he was silent. Didnt say anything. Was so confused that the play clock ran out. He kept saying "what happened what happened?" And i acted like the play never happened. Two days later he bursts into my room yelling that he found out about the rewind button. Ahhh the good old days.

It's like a re-introduction of the mulligan feature they had on an earlier year

I used to pull this on my dad he would throw a touchdown and I would say “wanna see something cool” and rewind the play. So funny 😂

I remember that, barely ever used it though. Kinda felt like cheating, only used it if something buggy or weird happened.

Rewind was one of my favorite things about Madden 09. I remember my cousin and I playing this and he would rewind every time I scored. Also, it was funny seeing the players reverse themselves.

The last madden my friends and I all played together before I went to I basic training and off to Iraq.. to come home and my friends had all grown up. This madden holds a special place in my heart on Xbox 360.

Hitting me right in the feels. For some it’s not that dramatic. You just wake up and realize that you’ve all grown up and grown apart.

I do remember the rewind and I hated it. I always turned it off, but in the beginning, it did kinda help me recognize what the defense was doing. Before that feature was added, when I’d throw an int, I’d just go to instant replay and diagnose what the defense was doing that way.

Member when madden worked on physics? Me too.

This made me miss when Chris Collinsworth did the Madden Broadcasting. Such nostalgia hearing that voice. Brings me back to when he would talk about the Tight End being the Quarterbacks safety blanket

You can still “rewind” in Madden 20. If the play hasn’t been called dead you can exit out of the game completely and go back with the “game in progress” thing and start the play over again.

This was so frustrating against friends

I loved it. My skill was op against other players and this feature gave them hope and kept them trying to play against me and not throwing the controller across the room. I used it a couple times but I think it was a feature specifically for new Madden players.

with how unrealistic madden is anymore, i wish they would bring this feature back.

I was playing my sister one time, and she scored and I jumped offsides so I told her to press X to decline the penalty so she got the TD. And she goes “you’re going to make me do something stupid and make fun of me” she kept spamming it and it rewinded the entire play. And then she accused me of cheating when I was trying to help her out.

The kids are sharing candies 😂😂😂

I remember my cousin did this to me when I scored last play of the game & I scored again😂😂😂

It’s funny that you mention this, like in M20 they recycled player weapons as x-factor ability

Madden 09 was lowkey the best madden. Great commentary, player weapons(which is called xfactor on madden 19), then relive madden moments from the previous season. You was able to get classic players, and it was the best.

NFL fever 04 had an extended playmaker. You can pick exactly which hole you want your RB to hit. Same with FB, you can make the FB go a gap inside or outside your run, to make cutback lanes etc..

The days when madden gameplay wasn't scripted.

Madden 10 also gave u a chance to break out of a tackle or just get extra yardage even if u were already wrapped up. Pretty cool.

I liked that feature. But they needed to tweak. Sometimes it was too easy to break out of a tackle.

The rewind reminds me of the Mulligan in Madden can't remember what year it was in but it would let you do the play over

Madden graphically may not compare to todays madden. But the engine, amount of features, detail to the game, responsiveness, polish and emphasis on USER controlled competitive play is still unmatched by any madden of Today.

Brought back some Madden 11 memories for me. That's my favorite all time Madden along with Madden 13 that was crack for me lol. Lol i used to pick the Eagles for franchise or Detroit and make my Player QB. Me and Megatron won like 6 rings

This like the only madden I completed its achievements.

I didn't play this madden much because I bought it with NFL Head Coach and that game was so much better. Probably why I can barely remember the rewind feature.

Highlight stick with Steven Jackson was too OP

I returned a kickoff for a touchdown and thought that I was in a replay... I was NOT in replay.

I played Madden 09 pretty much exclusively with a friend from college and we had a mutual agreement that we would only use Rewind in the case of a key injury. It was a real shot in the nuts when you were playing in Franchise, you'd lose Hines Ward in the first to a minor injury so you'd hit the Rewind button, and then he'd tear his ACL in the fourth just cause the game needed that big "FUCK YOU" moment.

Me and my cousin use to play madden 10 which had the rewind button... We agreed to not press the rewind button.. But sometimes it was "accidentally" clicked... Then we decided if you accidentally click it, you have to let the other guy get a touchdown

the hit stick animations on PS2 was nasty!!!!

They should bring this feature back, that way whenever i get a ball bounce off a helmet 30 yards to a defender who gets tackled just to get back up and score a td can be rewound.

The Vision Cone actually stayed on the 360 From Madden 06 up to Madden 08. When Madden 09 Came out that was the 1st game where they got rid of it and it hasn't been in a Game since 08.
