Remember .io Games?

.io games were once a constant in the school lives of many, and they still are in many cases. However, I haven't had any personal experiences with these games in years, so I decided that today I'll take a look at some nostalgic .io games.

The reason agar died was that people wouldn't stop teaming in FFA & Experimental modes (skill issue) which are supposed to be for solo players. Adding on to that, miniclip was just too lazy to fix this issue.

These games were basically designed the same way Tik Tok is, allowing pretty much anyone to get a taste of what it's like being at the top from things that were often luck based. They just made us feel good to be good at something so easily lol.

I remember one of the last days of primary school (elementary in us) our whole class went to the computer lab and we all played diep io together on the same server the whole lesson including the teachers. I will never forget that lesson it was so much fun. Good times.
I'm a month late but I wanna chip in. I remember Survivio. I played it since like a week after it first got made up until maybe 5-ish months after Kongregate got their hands on it. I remember wasting hours on it everyday and doing everything I could do break 10 kills per game consistently, I was one of the tryhards (If anyone remembers the username 'The Bloodstorm' that was me!) It's biggest reason for staying alive as long as it did were how active Justin and Nick (the devs) were with the community, and they even implemented lore into the game with special events via voice recordings you could find on the map occasionally. This plus with an ever-shifting meta for weapons to talk about, usually about shotguns, the subreddit and discord were always pretty active. The highest I ever saw the player count at was about 14k players, that's pretty damn big for a game that two guys decided to make to occupy their time whenever the PUBG servers were down. I even remember people idolizing the Desert Eagle since it was the first weapon to use special ammo besides the main 4. The Prison being added was one of the bigger booms in playerbase activity if I remember correctly. It was all good times up until the Club got added, and after that ownership was handed fully over to Kongragate. Idc about what the player counts said, this was when the game began dying. There were hardly any updates, and most of them were barebones at best. What new content they DID make sometimes only appeared once (looking at you flamethrower) then never again. And don't even get me started on the aimbots. There were 2 or 3 in every match it felt and sometimes the final players in a match were literally just aimbots. It was borderline unplayable, and when players complained we waited like a month for anything the happen. Their solution was a report system that was easily abused and got people banned at random while the aimbots just had smurf accounts. There was no new content, no meaningful communication to the playerbase, no bug fixes, *they tried to add NFT's*, and they relied purely on a battle pass and recycling old modes weekly to keep players sated. I actually picked up the game again maybe a month before the game was taken offline for good, and honestly it was miserable. NA servers had maybe 50 players at what used to be peak hours, and others servers weren't much better. It was laggy and empty, and utterly depressing Maybe I'm taking it to seriously but I sunk a lot of time into the game and even made a few friends while it was up. It was such a great game and it went out without even a whimper
Terror, please keep up this amazing work. You humor Is Amazing!

The nostalgia I had playing these games as a kid is making me tear up
Ain’t no way these games are old enough to have entered “nostalgia” territory
@imarchello
9 ай бұрын
nostalgia is completely arbitrary. You can feel nostalgic towards events from 1 year ago, or even 200 years ago, even though you weren't even alive back then.
I was 14 in 2019, arguably the best time period for Krunker and i'm probably a bit biased because even in challenge mode at the time I would easily dominate lobbies with sniper class. I played the game a lot, even joined the largest clan at the time which was TIDE. Miss those guys tbh, its a shame they got scammed by a fake esports org. I appreciate the mention of Krunker, reminded me of the most fun I've had online. Even though the game did have a lot of tryhards [me being one], the community was never really toxic and it was a really cool and positive place.
Hilarious. I was just going and playing old io games to see how they hold up about an hour ago and then you upload this, thank you t3rr0r
i have never watched any of your videos before but after watching this I subscribed, thank you for the nostalgia
Through out 2016 to 2019 it was a wholesome year to all Io gamers. Watching youtubers react and play but now its different story
I remember this one Io game that I got to play that I can’t remember the name of, it was some kind of mini survival game similar to something like Rust or DayZ where you can collect two resources (stone and wood) that would appear on the map and you have to compete against other players who need those resources just as much as you did. You could make a small base using traps and building walls, but you were very limited as to how many you can place (around 5 of each in total. Somehow me and a couple other players managed to team up and even figured out how to communicate by changing our user names to make incomplete sentences thanks to the character limit, but it was still impressive with what we managed to do despite the limited character limit. If I remember correctly, we managed to get pretty high up in the leaderboard due to us basing together, so much so that (if I remember correctly) we had to deal with an actual raid or two. Good times.

I remember i was playing it when it barely released to public and playing it until the third battle pass season ended After Kongs bought the game, it instantly fell down.. I remember the community being so fun and active, but after Kongs it died after a few seasons of battle pass And the balance? Ooh, they didn’t just break it, they removed it, at least it feels so No more good updates, only event rotation, which is awful, before you had to wait for an event, or it’d be unexpected(like the team one, ooh it was amazing..), Kongs added rotation and it wasn’t fun anymore, no excitement, just event after event without adding anything new. Kongs turned the game into the worst cashgrab it could’ve become in any universe.

It's sad how most IO games have died and there aren't as many players as in the past. I've played many, but my favorites were Mopeio and Agario, two games that were part of my childhood

Me and the homies back in the day all used to play krunker during computer class. We never had work in there anyways so we would hop onto gun game and battle for the whole class. After that year we all kinda split up. One of them passed on by their own hand, one of them left the school and went down a dark disturbing path, one of them became absolutely hilarious and less shy, one of them is an Andrew Tate fan, and one of them is still very close to me. I sometimes hop on to remind myself of what used to be, and how much fun we had. I truly wish I personally could thank the krunker devs for such good memories. And if you made it to the end, and want to play but don't want to get caught, press 5 and the website will switch to a Google docs mock page. 😊

I do miss playing these with friends in school
I remember one where you were a dude on a 3d Map and it was like an MMO. I can remember the name for the life of me but there were abilities and different classes to choose from
I remember playing surviv, mope, moomoo io for like a thousand hours cause there was nothing else to do
How could I ever forget my childhood
diepio and slitherio is one of my favorite games of all time. I've used to play these through their mobile port as I don't have a computer to play them (even to this day) Even tho they're dead at this point, I still hope they're still up and running for many years to come (I wish they become popular again for the sake of nostalgia 🙂)
I didn't, but thank you for reminding me T3rr0r!
gonna show that vid to my kids
