No need of a remake. He was already pretty nice of making a tutorial in the first place, because I think everyone should learn scripting before getting into solo game development

yeah i know someone is going to say that the tutorial is fine as it is, which is honestly true. but the title was extremely misleading and the mass majority of people clicking on this video assumed that it was a remake of the roblox version. gnome if your reading this, i have no real problems with " sandbox " , but making a clickbait title for a sponsor isn't ok. i dont want to sound rude but, if your defense was that you didnt try to make it clickbaity, at 0:04 you stated directly the comments will be filled with roblox related comments. so you knew what you were doing, renaming it something like " how to make a tower defense game in sandbox! " would be alot better, but the current title is just misleading.

Yeah, a few things are outdated, but most of it small fixes like one or two terms being depreciated which should be an easy fix just by replacing the term. The one major error had a fix for it in the comments I believe, and it was pinned by Gnome

Also, if you know nothing about scripting, don’t make that game THAT soon. Because you will need scripting experience for solving problems and branching out from the base tutorial

@@EATBADGE I want to make this clear : All Gnomecode is doing is educating the process of it, which means you can learn how it works, and maybe make an original version of it. Also, some people aren't a fan of the devforums, which is basically a bunch of reading, or they might not even know how to start in the first place. " Don't expect your game to turn out really good with a YT tutorial " this person is learning from a professional scripter with over 87K subs. That should be obvious. Roblox troubleshooting also likely takes hours on end.

UPDATE : Acryiiz says the bugs are very much composed of deprecated instances. However, a flyswat of hidden bugs takes alot to fix.

@@burneraccount91271 i haven’t noticed any problems with GnomeCode’s scripts except deprecated instances, which weren’t really problems since Roblox staff told us how to replace it. If scripts do not work, and I think it’s just an error or a typo from the viewer. And I think you can agree that since the gnome code tutorial exist, td games are so much less effort, they just copy everything from gnomecode and put their own models, that’s it. Oh and I forgot, they also put a zillion overpriced game passes.

Thing that’s I hope you do in the Tower defense series: Optimize Aiming: Making the game better by making it not have a delay and make the aiming like most Tower defense games. Better Tower attacks: Hard to explain but the attack has a longer cooldown when there is multiple enemies. More kinds of tower attacks: Maybe add splash damage, AOE, Poison, Farming, and stun attacks to towers. Game modes: Voting on game modes. Each having unique waves and enemies. Bug fixes: this is showing bugs people could encounter from episodes 1 - 22 or the episode it’s on. Stun enemies. These are enemies that can stun towers. I hope you see this and add these concepts to a possible season 2!
