Remains of Hamworthy Goods Branch, Poole in 2020 By Drone - 4K

Just a short video showing the remains of this branch from the air, at the Quay end of the line.
The fate of Hamworthy Goods Branch has been hanging in the balance for several decades. Trains are so infrequent now that you have to wait years between them, due to the demise of the stone traffic there. The last one I think was in 2018. Some say it's the last remaining rail connected dock in England (Perhaps even the UK).
The newly formed BCP 'Super-Council' are now devising plans for the rejuvenation of the port, it's rail link and the site of the old Poole Power station.
I wonder what they'll come up with? Any views on this?

Excellent video - I think we would all like to see freight return to the branch (who can forget those pairs of 37s thrashing up Parkstone Bank on daily steel trains in the 1990s) but sadly it’s unlikely to happen. The phenomenal growth of Sunseeker has been great for jobs in The town but unfortunately they now use almost all of the former dockside warehousing for their new boat building factories. This means the range of goods that can be transported through the Port is now limited.
