Hello, please in regard to the required medical visit, would someone have to stay in Nigeria if they received the first dose of a three dose series which are six months apart or can they get the subsequent doses from the US?

All required vaccinations have to be completed in Nigeria! But, If visa has been issued, then you can complete the dose in the US, you don't have to remain in Nigeria

The first hall you get into after the first check point There are lockers there you pay and they give you the key, there you lock your valuables in there including your bag and phone

Form DS-260 is an Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application. Get the form online, fill it and submit all required original documents, ensure that all details are accurate to avoid back and forth, that’s all! If you have any further questions you can ask😁

Thank you 😁 Yes they don’t allow phones! Once you go through the first security, you will be asked to lock your items away with your phone included, reason why I was unable to record anything till I was done with the interview.

No specified number of months, Infact mine took 2 years plus after I submitted all my documents….there where some back and forth in documents submitted tho, but that was all sorted, and afterwards I got my interview date.😁

TBH i applied in 2021 and heard from NVC in 2023 for Medicals and Interview So that took 2 years, i would advice that when you apply you should wait patiently to hear from them and do all you asked to do

Congratulations! 🎉🎉. Please i have a question. I'm also in this process and currently waiting for an interview. We got our DQ in October. My question is my birth certificate is laminated and i really want to know if its not going to be an issue on interview day. Do you have an idea if it will be? I have tried asking around but was told i can't do another birth certificate. Your response will be much appreciated. Thank you.

@mercyboyd if you have not gone for your interview don't stress trying to get another certificate, I had the same fear as mine was laminated and there were other applicants I saw with laminated documents and we had no issue, in fact I was approved. I wish you the best in your process.
