    I'm Russian 20yo girl and my dream is to move from here to Australia, work there, meet people from other countries, have a stable income that will let me live in a modern apartment, eat fresh fruit and travel the world. I don't think it will ever be possible tho. Thank you for your videos, they let me imagine how my life would be if the dreams come true

    I have a PR. I have a strong urge to try out the option of living in Sydney at least for an year, coming out of my current comfort zone and the life that I have. it don't want to have a regret 5 years down the line that I didn't try when I had the option and I'd be more satisfied that I tried and I failed. That's fine.

    Saynator thank you for responding back that makes it even worse that they cut ties with Britain in the 80s as there are quite a lot of Australian people that has come over to Britain and has an easy route getting a visa when it comes to the British citizen trying to move into Australia that make it very difficult

  • @saynator_d

    @saynator_d

    Cassandra Amore No worries. I understand how you feel about migration, and there are still heaps of Brits who continue to settle in Aus till this day. But most Australians (including myself) want full sovereignty, meaning to have an Aussie head of state and cut it's only ties with the British Monarch. We still want a good relationship, but not in the form of colony or commonwealth country. At least you'll still have Canada and NZ :)

  • @tdb7992

    @tdb7992

    It's more that Britain had to cut ties with Australia because they joined the EU, which meant you had to have a uniform migration policy with the rest of Europe. Before that there had been free movement and free trade between the UK, Aus and NZ. Aus and NZ still have free movement and trade but the UK chose to go in a different direction.

  • @MrSeedkey

    @MrSeedkey

    Moving to Australia, now here is a story; my story. Starts with the word DON'T. I moved to Australia back in 2000. Stayed there for 2 years before I realized it isn't as great of a country as maybe japan, america, or singapore is. Yes, the culture is nice. The arts and the cities, but all that is just a picture. Took me many years to figure how such a beautiful country pays for it's self when only 30% of it or so is developed. First off, the people are very anti immigrant. Even if your anglo white, the second you start talking you'll be treated as an outsider. I can't say what exactly it is, but you will not feel welcomed. Even though I was employed there for nearly 18 months of the two years I was there, it was mostly by employers who them selves were not born there. Then if you happen to have a child there, omg. the child support system there is highway robbery. They will try to hold you to their standard of income weather you live there or not. There ways around it of course, but such disparities shouldn't have to be. The worst part if it all though, is that the country has really gone down hill in the last decade. Inflation has really griped their country. It's crazy expensive to live there, and forget about buying a house. I'm certain that in a few short years they will have such a hard economic crash that Australia will have to change it's name to Austchina, or Austasia. Because some other country will just buy out the country. Believe me people, you will never make it there if you move there.

    Sydney is a terrible city, probably the worst in Australia. Overpopulated, failing infrastructure, when it rains more than 50mm it floods, hyper-inflated real estate from hyper immigration to keep the bubble from popping, unfriendly, many people are on antidepressants, you can't get a park, driving anywhere takes hours, beaches are overcrowded, people are rude and arrogant and generally live in their riny bubble, unawares of the world around them.
