BUT, The main problem with comedians in India is that they target Hindu gods only, and Hindu culture and Traditions(Selective Outrage). They very well know if they crack a joke on Prophet/Allah there will be another kamlesh tiwari/ bangalore riots. There is nothing wrong on Hindus part to get offended and file an official FIR against comedians(for ex Munawar Faruqui)

I wasn’t offended. Not a bit. I thoroughly enjoyed it. In every religion, there are people who will get offended at smallest thing while some not even at biggest; some will still be able to take joke despite being offended while some won’t compromise at any cost…they will be ready to behead you. Not all Indians are same. Also not every Indian’s faith is same even if they are Hindu. Under umbrella of Hinduism, there are thousands of beliefs and hardly people with one belief cares about other belief.

"If your faith is rattled by a joke, is it really that strong?".... Isn't that interesting. Why is it so hard to talk about religion, about our cultures, about our differences? We should recognize it, normalize it, and hopefully end up to a point where being different is okay rather than it's not okay for one another to be different.

Great content, without appearing crass. One correction though, Siddhartha or Gautham Buddha can not be categorized as God. He never claimed to be a one, he insisted on his humanness. He is a philosopher but after thoysands of years, people turned his philosophy into a religion.

I never felt offended whenever he jokes about Hinduism because everyone now a days know what are the facts and truth about their religion (be it Christianity, Hinduism..etc.) , which were pretty much relevant in the ancient times but now they are not.... But apparently eating buffalo meat is still a crime as beef is banned in India. What sort of a hypocritical double standard is this? You can earn money by being the third largest exporter but someone can't eat it in the same country. Also just for context, there are 6x more female cows than male cows in India, I would like to know how this happened and is still happening because we apparently don't kill cows or export them. So are our cows just giving out 6x more female cows then male ones?

Joking is different from abusing and demeaning. Joking is welcomed because it creates an atmosphere of enjoyment but abusing other one's beliefs or gods which creates disharmony and negativity in society is bad and repulsive in nature. I always am in a bit disagreement when someone jokes about someone else. We might be making a correct point, but that's our side of the coin. When it doesnt reach the one who is on the other side, we need to explain rather throw it as a joke. The context is just not about God but literally everything and everyone. We can joke abt everything under sun, can we in the present world? Can i joke about a black guy, it would be immediately called racist though i have no such intention. Can i joke about an obese guy, it would be instantly regarded as body shaming in the current world. Why... Because it hurts them. Not because it is not a fact or that the targets in the 2 examples cannot take jokes. When the world is so considerate about a few human traits, why does the same world go gaga about being candid, wise and canny about beliefs and other things. Well, some might opine that in such a case, we can never joke about anything. Seriously, the best entertainers have been the ones who joked about themselves and the best joke is something that is about you and is appreciated by everyone. You can't creak such a joke.. Then you Dont. Because when such a joke about others, turns into a comment or ridicule, no one knows. Let's make people laugh their hearts out with no hassles.

Yeah you can't get away all the time with punching down comedy but most people are ok with punching up comedy like richest persons,religions etc except some people take religion very seriously. Any normal person would ignore such jokes but some dont. Do bad jokes need to be punished severely? Doesn't just ignoring the person take away the purpose? Also please to my knowledge atleast in my own religion and in other old world religions - satire, sarcasm, trolling, messaging through comedy was in fashion. It was a ful one on one. Yes, to your point... As i said i joke about myself or my own, it atleast neutralises the reactions of the current frail world. But then everyone has a right to speech and they can continue exercising out on sensitive topics also if they think so for their own purpose. But a few don't take it easily and they are enough to pull the reigns of the world /society off the balance with their temparament. Just that i grew up on the fact that A joke is not a joke when it fails to make even one person feel hurt or confused in a room of 10. So i would follow this if I ever make comedy. Again my opinion. Not shoving it down anyone's throat

@@MrSumeith Shri Krishna might not have been stand up comedian, but the purpose of the comedy is same. yeah I get that it is your opinion. I am just arguing. But Satire by definition is meant to offend in a neutral or empathatic warm way. That is why it is social commentry. I am for the record extremely tired of the corrupt hindu guru trope of bollywood. I am also tired of cultural approprition and discrimination in media from one community to other. But a response to such insensitive comments should be through comedy, wit, debate - if at all.
