Relentless hunting met with relentless sabbing

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴
We caught up with the Warwickshire Hunt hunting between Ells Farm and Rectory Farm in Broughton. On our arrival, convicted huntsman Will Goffe suddenly gathered the hounds and rode off at speed towards Lower Tadmarton and began hunting the valley by Lower Tadmarton Farm.
The hunt came out onto the road and crossed towards Tadmarton Heath and Ushercoombe Farm. This is an area Goffe has found plenty of foxes in the past and knowing exactly where he’s found them Goffe began hunting a small wood at the bottom of the hill and almost immediately the hounds went into cry and after a fox that ran uphill towards Ushercoombe Copse before circling back towards two foot sabs who were positioned on the brow of the hill. The fox then ran in front of the two sabs who could hear hounds close behind. A sab rated the hounds and managed to pull the pack back towards them giving the fox valuable time to get away. Another sab saw the fox run back towards the original wood it was put up from. Using direct action meant we gave the fox valuable time to escape.
The Warwickshire then began relentlessly hunting the same wood and numerous foxes started to flee. One fox ran along a hedge row at the bottom of the valley whilst at the same time another fox ran towards the two foot sabs who remained positioned near the brow of the hill. Again sabs intervened.
Goffe tried again and another fox broke from the same wood. Again sabs worked together to stop the hounds. The relentlessness of the Warwickshire Hunt to hunt and kill was matched by our committed sabs. We, too, are relentless. We would argue that Goffe taking his hounds to places he has previously found foxes shows intent to illegally hunt, taking the hounds repeatedly back to the same wood that foxes keep running from only moments before not only shows intent but also shows just how arrogant and above the law the Warwickshire Hunt think they are. Landowners Michael Desmond Rogers and Mark Jonathan Rouse surely have questions to answer regarding being complicit under Section 3 of three Hunting Act.
In the end Goffe gathered the hounds and headed over to Bertrand Francis Georges Facon’s Lessor Grange where he hunted the dismantled railway near Milcombe. The hunt then caused road chaos as they hunted another fox across the road and onto Rye Hill golf course. Here golfers could be heard expressing anger that hounds were rampaging across the course. A golfer rang a bell and started shouting for order.
Goffe knew he was clearly trespassing so he hastily gathered the hounds and headed over to Alice Elizabeth Clark’s land at Nill Farm to hunt near the dismantled railway in Hook Norton. Again sabbing the Warwickshire for the last few years has meant we have extensive knowledge of places Goffe likes to hunt, were foxes are put up and the routes they take. Knowing this we positioned ourselves in a known hotspot which forced Goffe to abandon this particular draw. With the light beginning to fade and once last attempt at hunting the Warwickshire finished around 4.30pm.
A long but successful day for us.

Thank you sabs. Hunters abuse not just the foxes, but their own animals too, horses and dogs alike. Fuck the hunt. You are heroes ❤️❤️

About time the police started to back up the sabs and take action on these horrible people.why do the police keep turning a blind eye to what is animal cruelty by both fox and dogs?

Because they're either paid off, scared of punishment from the hunt's friends in higher places, or are involved with hunting themselves

Thank you sabs for being out there. Every time I see a picture of a fox that's been mauled by the hounds it breaks my heart - I can't imagine what you must have to go through actually seeing it. But so many foxes (and other animals) are saved because of you. This is a horrid, antiquated "tradition" that is an embarrassment to our country. Let's hope things can change during the next elections. I know who I won't be voting for.

Yes it was banned years ago. But many hunts, even at the time, vowed to continue hunting illegally. And they do so every year. The police do not wish to enforce the law so it's down to brave volunteers like the sabs to protect the wildlife.
