@@justafan3667 i know chloe still love RA no matter what but RA did leave her at some point and then hanging out with frank. when chloe see the photos of RA and frank in RV she felt betrayed. to me RA is a girl who just need to be save but not to be felt with. RA just want to get out of Arcadia Bay but later she knew chloe still attach to arcadia bay. so she turned to frank. im so glad max was there in the end.

The biggest message of LiS is: Don´t forget the people you like and love, spend time with them and don´t postpone this to "some day". Because you never know what will happen in your and other´s lifes. I played this game in January, it was the most emotional experience I ever experienced and I decided to consider the message and spend more time with my beloved family and friends. 6 month later, in July, our beloved mother got critically ill from pneumonia and sepsis. After only 7 days she was dying, everything went so fast. She was reanimated and kept in coma for several weeks. Now she woke up. She still has her memories, but physically she´s broken and has breathlessness often. It´s like Chloe in the wheelchair. 2 weeks before the infection I was hiking with her and she was extremly fit, this with age 67. Now this times are over and we just can hope she survives this horror we all experienced the last weeks. I normally don´t believe in prevision or fate, but combining all this is a shock. Like this game wanted to give me a warning ... ;-( Life is strange. Sometimes cruel. But wonderful, too. I try to look at the bright side: I spent a good time with her the last years. That counts. Everybody has to leave earth. Just hope her time isn´t over as I suppose I don´t get a choice like Chloe Arcadia Bay with our mother...

kind of off-topic, but I had a similar "prevision" once with Attack on Titan. I watched it for the first time in January 2022, and then in about a month a real war started in my country. The important thing in all this for me was how AoT makes the viewer really feel the emotions that people at war have and their reactions on such typical situations - death, tough decisions, horrors, political involvement, and it was kind of a revelation for me, I felt like I live AoT events first-hand. It truly gives a strong impression of "wars are ALWAYS painful and terrible". And maybe because of this I felt everything even sharper and deeper when such events started affecting me in real life, and I kinda wished every person watched it and then maybe the thought of starting wars wouldn't get in their heads in the first place.😔

How the Palestinians are seen in the eyes of Israelis is all to similar to the pure hatred the Marleyens feel towards Eren and everyone else on Paradis. And even the whole cycle of war - that yes even if someone killed your whole family bc of their own beliefs - it doesn't give you the right to kill another innocent person's family even if they're the enemy. To do so is to just let the cycle go on and on with no peace in sight.

I will never, ever forget Life is Strange. This game has had such an impact on my life that it even feels insulting to call it just a "game". It is a literal masterpiece and has changed me forever for the better. It's been 5 years and there hasn't been any story(games/books/series) that made me feel the way LIS did. And I don't think there will ever be. My parents adopted 2 cats and we named them Max and Chloe (my mom loved LIS too), my pfp is literally the absolute goddess that is Chloe Price, and I plan on getting a blue butterfly tattoo because, yk, Chloe. (But it also has deeper meanings to me involving the whole game and the butterfly effect). I don't know if anyone will even read this, but this sound brought me really happy memories and a huge nostalgia. So I had to vent in a place where people might understand my feelings :) Life is Strange will live on forever. Nicefield, Keep up doing the Lord's work of never letting this masterpiece be forgotten. 🙂

Does anyone else break down when they hear this music? I am not an emotional person at all, but man, this game absolutely broke me. Which is wild in a way, since for people who weren't a similar age to Max and Chloe during the same years will miss most if not all of the references. However, for a game that has so many [references] from the late 00s and early 10s it still manages to be wonderful for those who don't get them. I always feel greedy for wanting more of the OG storyline, but I just can't bring myself to care about the other games or characters. I've looked a lot and often for other story games, but I've yet to find anything that could replicate the feelings I got from playing LiS. I hope it remains a classic, because it really is likely a one-off of our lifetime.

@@hyzteriaimo before the storm is really good. idk if you said you couldn’t get into the other LiS games and characters bc I’m slow but before the storm felt a lot like the first game and it’s only 3 episodes. I really liked diving into Rachel’s life even tho it wasn’t enough info to really go off of but just seeing her made playing the first game so much harder and I was able to really see it from Chloe’s perspective rather than Max’s.

my first tattoo is booked in dedicated to this game. life is strange saved my life, i was bullied loads in highschool and this was my escape. Forever grateful. Keep fighting on, never lose the battle with suicide.. its worth it

Yes, exactly. It came to me at a similar time in life. It was my escape for like 3 days, but that 3 days of Life is Strange will stay with me forever. It is a really special piece of art. Before, I couldn't imagine a game, or any media could touch me emotionally like Life of Strange did. It didn't happen before and did not happen since. Life is Stange is like love and life. It doesn't last forever, it has ups and downs, bittersweet melancholy, but you love every minute of it. It made you question yourself, your life, it made you cry, but you don't mind, for you were part of it. It is true and beautiful art. It is short, it comes to pass pretty quickly, it will be gone before you know it and then you remain there contemplating. You can never re-experience it for the first time, but that makes it all the more special and precious. Just like love and life. Beautiful.

I find it interesting how everyone that has ever played Life is Stange connected with the game in such a special way. And just by listening to the soundtrack, it takes you right back into the game. I’m forever grateful for my big brother who introduced me to the world of Life is Stange 1 and Before the Storm, and I know this might sound a bit corny, but I really wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for LiS’ impact on my life. Life truly is strange.

I completely agree with you. Its one of the few games I've played more three times. I love it so much, the first time I played I had no idea what to expect. I did NOT expect it to be like how it is. The music, the dialogue, the fact you can sit and soak in the music/atmosphere. I just love it.

The atmosphere is so magical, the music, characters, settings. My favourite part was exploring the dorms and snooping through people's things! Nosy but fascinating. So much detail was put into the game :)

I replayed the game after 8 years and it hit as hard as the first time...

@Zara Basantez I just played this game for the first time last month! I had heard about it years ago, but completely forgot about it. I guess when I got steam my brother added it to my wishlist because I don’t remember putting it in there. Then my brother’s girlfriend decided to buy it for me cause she saw it was in my wishlist and it was 80% off... I am so glad she did because I don’t know long it would’ve taken me to play it if it wasn’t for her. I wasn’t that excited to play it actually cause all I knew about it was it’s a story game and it’s probably slow, but I felt obligated to play it cause someone else bought it for me and it was in my wishlist (I didn’t even know it was in there) but I’m SO glad I did because I fell in love with it and was so sad when I finished it. Two weeks after finishing it, I played it again, and then BTS, and I just finished farewell last night. I want to replay the first game over and over again just to relive it. Sorry this was such a long reply 😂 I wasn’t planning on it being this long. I just saw that you also slept on the game for a long time, I certainly did, and I had no idea what I was missing out on. I’ve never connected this much with a game and I’ve probably connected more with LIS than I ever have with any of my favorite TV shows... which says a lot.

Its realistic setting and the fact that you have to make decisions yourself was actually quite 4th wall breaking indeed.

I played it right around Highschool, and I remember waiting a few months for each episode. So many memories intertwined with each episode because it reflects the phase of my life I was in when I played it. Now I'm about to graduate from university with a degree in computer science and writing. This game inspired me to pursue game development, I hope I can be part of a project that makes an impact on someone like me.

My connection to this game is so nostalgic and painful, me and an old friend played the whole game together, unfortunately we went our separate ways as her boyfriend got in between our friendship in a bad way. Anytime I hear the soundtrack or songs from the game, it’s like I’m sent back to those good times with her, I miss it so much, I miss her so much. But I’ll never forget the happy times and the laughter and tears shared together over this game. I would do anything to relive those experiences again with her.

Life is strange hold a special place in my heart. I played this game while being at my mental health lowest point. I became obsessed with it, playing it over and over again. This kept me alive until I was finally able to see a therapist and get the help I need after several weeks on a waitlist. Seeing the emotional reaction to both Chloe and Kate's death made me deeply reflect on my own entourage's reaction if I was gone. That was 3 years ago. Life is strange saved my life

I have loved this game since I was 14 y'all. I'm about to be 20 in October. There are some things that are a phase, but this is not. I'm getting teary-eyed thinking about how much this game impacted my life in such a good way. I will always love this game no matter what. Life is Strange fan for life!!! ❤

I never appreciated gameplay at all until I discovered this game and played it this year in quarantine. I was up till 2am everyday playing it on the edge of my seat. No game has ever made me feel invested in the characters until this.

After all that time, I finally finished Life is Strange... And I think I never cried like that in front of any other video game, movie, or any media in my entire life... I don't know why, but that game deeply talked to me, he offered me more than ever, hope and joy... But I don't know why, I'm here, crying all I've got inside my heart. I'm a middle-aged dude who played LiS for the first time this past month on a friend's recommendation. I never would have guessed a video game about teen girls in high school would have caught my interest, but this game made me feel things I haven't felt since High School so many years ago. It was amazing how it brought back so many memories of my own time in school like it was yesterday, and how it was able to make me actually care about these characters. In my life I've known people who were so much like Max, Chloe and Rachel that it's uncanny. I shared an apartment with a "Chloe" right out of college and I could easily relate to Chloe in the game and understand where she was coming from. While I can't play the game for the first time again, whenever I listen to the music, it immediately brings back those memories. Before the Storm also turned me on to Brody Dalle. I grew up listening to Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and she sounds a lot like a young Joan Jett with a punk rock vibe.

I feel so grateful for living in a time works of art such as this game can make people across the globe to resonate. Though I suppose that's also what people from centuries ago felt when they enjoyed great works of art, be it paintings, stories or great music

This game is 100% and I don't know how but it's Amazing how they were able to make the game in a way which really makes you feel for the characters, like when I failed to save Kate I literally cried for days because it felt like *my* fault or how as you play the first game and before the storm you realise how much chloe has had to deal with though out her life. Lis is one of the few games where the characters were actually people to me, and it brakes me how this game is slipping into obscurity with each year that passes, just like the first day of Lis and how that Monday felt like a lifetime well 2013 feels like a lifetime away.

Yes! 32 year old male here. Loved it more than I ever could have expected. Beautiful story. Beautiful soundtrack. Just fantastic. I adore this game. I'm a little disappointed with the 2nd game so far (in comparison) but it's still good and got a great soundtrack. Looking forward to finally playing True Colours at some point soon.

LiS 1 is a super special game for me, one of my faves. Nothing against BTS or LiS2 but LiS1 is just... unique and lovely in its own way. this is the only game from every games, series, movies etc. i've watched and played that i cried on

I bought this game on a whim when it first came out, and after I watched the credits roll for the final episode, I felt this hollowness I hadn't felt since The Last of Us. I was glad I met these characters, got to spend a little time in their world with them, but man, it sucked saying goodbye. Hope wherever Max is in the LiS universe, she got everything she ever wanted.

No matter how much i can never stfu about this game, words still don't do justice for my love towards it.

Okay, I don't know how to explain this, but I fell in love with the game, but literally. As if I were in love with a human, except that this is a game (obviously not physically, because the game can't look like a human). I get this sort of strange feeling in my heart when I see the game or think about it. But I'm not in love with the characters, I'm in love with the game in general, I love the music, the locations, the story, the graphics, the characters, in fact everything. In short, I'm in love with the game as if it were a human being, it's crazy. I've already talked to friends about it, but none of them could understand how it could be possible, but it is. Anyway, I'll put it out there if there are people who have shared the same experience with this game, or others I'm curious about, or who just want to talk about it, please don't hesitate. Thanks

I watched this about one or two years ago and watch a bit again week ago, I don't have the game. I believe it'll still have an impact on me for a long run.

While I was playing the game I would sometimes pause it and just cuddle up with my cat listening to the score since it made me feel similarly relaxed and off in my own world which is just how I felt when it was just me and her chilling next to each other just somewhere else where nothing not even my stupid brain could ever hurt me, I just miss her so much and the way she used to look at me with so much compassion and love and that spark of life and now everything seems so lifeless and lonely with pain around every corner and I would just do almost anything to be back in that moment with her again

This whole game, changed my outlook on life. I'll honestly never be the same😭

1 hour in. She still hasn't noticed the tea. Trying my luck again in the next loop.
