The funny thing is, even after all this time, I keep seeing new things: new people; new birds and animals; new sets of waves - some seriously strong for this close to the shoreline. Love it.

So glad this is still up. I have watched this for years! My daughter and I used to sit in the garden with our feet in the sand pit and close our eyes and dream that we were at the sea! Now she lives near the beach! Dream come true! Love this video so much!

I'm so glad the internet can brings us something like this when we can't always afford to go to these places. Thanks to whoever made this, it really is quite awesome.

Finally, a video that uses REAL ocean sounds. Most of the others just use a studio recording / loop that sounds so unrealistic.

I moved from SoCal to spokane,Washington a year ago...i CRIED When i watched this 😙 THANKYOU.

Man, this really sounds like you are at the beach, balcony doors open, curtains blowing (I have my fan on oscillate), my eye mask on, it's like I am there. Down to the occasional bird and human voices. I love this! Thank you so much for making it.

I lived in North County for 20 years and this is a beautiful memory. Thank you!

God I miss the ocean, didn't realize how much I needed it till I left.

This is what we all need right now especially when the virus 😷 is keeping all of us at home and as for me I definitely miss seeing the ocean with my own eyes and being in peace with mother nature best of the best creation

I bookmarked this a few years ago and chose it today. I love all the goings on with the birds, the swimmers, the people who walk by now and then. Makes me smile.

My girlfriend and I listen to this EVERY night. Nothing on the tube compares to the California waves. They're just like "home". Since this is where we live......

I've heard this 1000 times today, everyday I listen to it because I am in love with the beach sounds of Califuckinfornia!

I’m babysitting a 10 month old right now and this is the only thing that is helping her get to sleep. Thank you so much! I hope everyone has an amazing life and gets great sleep!

Grew up on California beaches and I haven't had that for a decade. I haven't been able to swim or boogie board for a decade. This brought all of the good feelings back.

Thanks for posting this! I miss California wave sound! Born and raised in San Diego. It sounds different then other beaches around the world. I'm cured! In Massachusetts now.

I know this was a few years back, but what part of San Diego are you from, if you don't mind me asking? I moved around a lot on this side of the country but always ended up back in San Diego. I don't want to give my location since I currently live in SD, but I used to live South Bay for part of my childhood and part of my teens 🌅

Closed my eyes for a second.....and I was back at Longnook Beach on Cape Cod. Thank you...you took off 40+ years of my life...it was good to be back.

This is exactly what I needed to help de-stress! Thank you so much...I miss sitting by the Pacific enjoying that sound you captured ...including the seagulls...and watching the waves crash in to the shore. Nice!

It's difficult to find a video with both excellent sound AND live video. I don't listen to this to fall asleep. I listen to relax and relieve anxiety. I simply sit and close my eyes or read. Thank you for posting this.

Remember as children coming to the beach, mesmerized by the sound of the waves and breathing ocean. How freeing it was and still is, washing away all our troubles for the day, coming away feeling so refreshed? I want to do that now by the side of this program, thank you for bringing us the pure and simple video of rolling waves at a beach all by itself.

Thank you very much for this video. I was born and grew up on the Atlantic coast, then I moved to Ontario. I listen to it when I'm home sick and it helps a lot.

Cresting waves, sounds of motion, sands shifting in the embrace of flow... and we blessed by such waters of grace and ambient sounding of PRAISE.

Cant Sleep without this being the main Ambience sound in the background. Thank you. Playing on High Rotation.

The sound quality makes my apartment feel like it's a beach house. Many other videos/sounds sound canned or manufactured. This video was recorded with very clear audio and at a beach spot where the wave intervals are well spaced, offering the spacial variable that makes ocean tones sound "relaxing."

well it's the real thing. i miss the beach so looking at this brings back this feeling of serenity. wish i could live at the beach and wake up to this.

Out of all of the "Ocean Waves" videos that I've downloaded, yours is by far the very best. Even the sounds of the body surfers are soothing. I'm from Culver City CA, now in GA, and this video reminds me of my childhood at Dockweiler, Venice, Santa Monica, and Zuma Beaches back in the 80's. Thanks so much for sharing it with all of us.

I have to tell you how much this video has been a HUGE blessing to me since i found it several years ago ~ i live in Nashville TN about 8 hours from the beaches and whenever i want to relax and just focus on a book or the Word of God it always calms me down and reminds me of our Creator who has made everything good! I always smile when i hear the man talking to you - who you thought ruined your recording - and i am always a little envious watching the men in wetsuits playing in the waves, especially the one who squeals with delight at a monster wave coming down on them! Thank you SO MUCH for creating this awesome video - God bless you real good!

I grew up in Huntington Beach, CA less than a block from the beach. The sounds of the surf bring back memories of the better days of my youth. I love the video and play it while I write. Anoher thing I like is it is not on a loop. The guys in wet suits really move the clip thru time. A simple but enjoyable video. Thanks for posting it.

It has to do with breakline... where the waves break. This is really short and known in the La Jolla area beaches, but not all. These were my dad's favorite beaches in San Diego. I prefer IB at the pier. But I love the sound here as it's not as thunderous as IB. It also depends on the terrain. As you can see from the shadows, this is a short shoreline from the hills/cliffs. 😊

I wanted my brain to stop thinking and stressing and I listened to regular music and it made it worse and I was looking up quotes which made it worse but one of the quotes was about waves and I searched a video and this popped up and it's perfect. My mind is at ease now so thank you.

Finally a way to soothe my baby! I could do with a little soothing myself. I think this one is going on repeat tonight.

We listen to this several times a week so grateful love the so. Cal wave sound it's the best in the world.

I love how everyone is here to calmly listen to the sound of the ocean, while I'm here literally on the verge of tears and panicking as I watch this to try to improve my aquaphobia before I am forced to go to the beach in a few days. 😭

I listen to this almost everyday before bed. Especially when I was pregnant.

I love the little birds running around. I feel like I am just sitting on the sand, all by myself!!!!

So many other videos seem to speed up the frequency of waves. They just don't sound right. This is just right, although I'd love to be able to hear the waves as they drag back out as well but hey. I'm just being fussy. Hopefully this'll help me sleep. :)

I live in California on the coast and I love this video. Even though I'm only 10 minutes away from the beach, this is my go-to video when I need to hear the ocean and can't get there.

I love the kids trying to surf the shore break. Must be from out of town. I miss SoCal.

I love that this is a live video with the sound! It makes me miss my home in San Diego, although I'm from north county. Its different then downtown. We don't get sounds like this in Tucson! Makes me a little home sick.

I ADORE the fact that this is live and there are dogs, birds and surfers. Has anyone seen the HUGE screen at Abercrombie that shows the ocean with surfers?

So calming! A great help when mind is bogged down with too much work pressure. It gives a feel that we are at the beach. Thanks. I have benefitted from it, quite often. Love ❤️ it.

I remember when the beach was my front yard and i would wake up so excited to see what the OCEAN left. WOW I can go on forever about how LUCKY I was to have memories like those.

I have never commented on anybody's video before, but I really enjoyed this video. I use to live 10 minutes from the beach and recently moved where the nearest beach is over an hour and a half. It still didn't compare to my home beach....yours did. Your's made me home sick but yet very relaxing. Thank you dearly..

Excellent mate - no cheesy loop, the real deal 3 hours of ocean, waders, the odd seagull and dog and a friendly bloke walking past. Furthermore if you watch it you're entertained by intermittent body surfers. I close my eyes and when you hear the big sets or something other than the regular wave pattern it's like being at the beach I'm compelled to look up and watch the footage. Great video.

This is so beautiful, it's a love hate relationship with this. Love it for the view but hate because instead of being there I'm trapped in New England with 100 feet of snow ;(

Great video. I live in a beach community in the coastal bend in south Texas. I moved from Cali to Austin back in 2003. I was so stressed out and finally figured out I had to get back to the oceans. I miss Cali beaches. I am happy to be near the marina and on an island peninsula near the island of Port Aransas. Thanks for the beautiful relaxing ocean waves. The ocean is part if my blood, I am convinced
