I experience weight underside whenever doing this test. Also it’s very difficult to clinch all the muscles at the same time, and requires relaxation somewhere. Amazing how such a simple exercise can reveal so much. Thank you!

Good to hear you are getting something valuable from this - it means you are paying attention to whats happening, so easy to just "make it work at all costs" and lean nothing! Love the sabbath/zep reference btw!

@@AIKIDOSILVERDALE no one has ever brought that up! Thanks. My name is James Keith Pevey. I had to change it due to online bullying. So it kinda reflects my real name, and let’s people like you know something about me that we might have in common. Those are my favorite guitar players. Can’t figure out how to incorporate Clapton tho! Thanks for responding. Love the channel.

I often wanted to do this in dojo. You need a contrast to discern between relaxed and tense. Ty.

@@AIKIDOSILVERDALE I read Koichi's book Ki in daily life. I wrote to him and was referred to N.J. Ki Society. I took a bus from P.A. class was already over but I learned a lot from Sensei Pierce right there and then about keeping one point. You need a good teacher to learn this books won't do it. I moved in with Sensei years later to study Aikido. Met a Italian girl and forgot about Aikido for a short while. Sensei had power unimaginable. Shizuo Imazumi was still with Tohei back then. I practiced with him in N.Y. a few times. Very strong. My teacher studied under Tohei. I will never forget my training and still practice every day even at 60 yrs old. I like the laying down idea because you need to be aware of the contrast. Chi Gong is my rock. Standing and sitting meditation everyday. Thanks for the video. Who was your teacher?
