RELATABLE SELF IMPROVEMENT MOTIVATION - MY FIRST SPRINT WORKOUT
Спорт
Sometimes I need self improvement motivation, but the relatable kind! I want to see someone like me working through something. I had no concept of what sprint pace felt like and this whole thing was wildly confusing, but hopefully it motivates you to start something you've been feeling overwhelmed by!

Love it! Thanks for sharing a realistic view of us actual runners!
I really appreciate that you show real life. Too many creators only show what makes them look good and set unrealistic expectations. I love your humor and I love the inspiration!❤

I appreciate that!
Love the authentic chaos of this! 😅 Backs up my own experience of trying to understand and follow what my watch is telling me to do. 🤪
Great sprinting! I wear my lightest shoes for sprinting. I also wear light clothes. I’m heavy enough! 😂

same. I love my Brooks Hyperions for sprints. super close to the ground and light.
It’s just great to see any of your yt uploads. Always great quality, entertaining and relatable.
Wow, I love how relatable this video is! It's so motivating to see someone like me pushing themselves during a sprint workout. It's just the kind of self improvement motivation I needed to see today. Keep up the great work, you're inspiring me to work hard too!
Yes! I’m all over the place with “sprint pace” too 😂. To your question about the camera/audio option vs the phone - both are great; just happy to see and hear from you! Whatever is easiest/best for you 👍

I appreciate the feedback!
This video was both amusing and super inspiring! I’ve never done a sprint workout solo, and now I’m thinking about where I can go to get one done. Thanks for your wonderful and very real videos!
Love this & the chaos! 😂
I’m dying!!!! “The amount of rage” (tights falling down”… omg I thought it was just me!!! Hysterical! 💗
Thank you for putting yourself out there. I love that you share your thoughts because I have the same thoughts and it makes me feel normal 😊
This video gives me life. You’re so stinkin funny.
oh my, so exciting, last year I realized that I can't even sprint 100meters, because like around 60meters the pain in the whole body :D, so with some very occassional sprint training I improved and I can sprint the whole 100 but with fastest time 20,5sec. Just keep going!
Taking work calls during a speed workout is next level 💪
love your humor and videos
Glad I’m not the only one that gets confused by all those beeps. just gimmie a beep to start and a beep to stop, no need to countdown 😄

Right?!
Love it! I am (temporarily) trying to concentrate on how I can get faster at shorter distances (yes, in my mid-forties). So... speed workouts, hill workouts, strength training, (and all that jazz) all definitely work in even though like a lot of runners I've always been in denial about strength training (ha.. ha.. ha...). I have no marathons in my immediate horizon but I do have a 10K! And yes, pre-programming those Garmins (or other watches) for workouts (and understanding the beeps) takes a little practice, just as the pacing does. You're so badass. I have a hard enough time getting out there in GOOD weather. Couldn't imagine the cold factor!!

10k is a good idea!
I felt this!!! 😂 Even as a pace leader, I still have the hardest time wrapping my head around all of this!!! 😂
I freaking love your videos!! I get excited when you post a new one. You are so real and you have genuine humor and it just makes me smile!! Thanks!!
Have the same thought! Im so impressed with my sprint. Then think people run entire races that way! Thats insane!
Honoured to watch the first sprint workout. Audio/Video, great. If you don't wanna get bored (and may make the activity more productive) try a slow run between sprints instead of a walk. If you can't recover enough, then walk. GREAT WORK OUT THERE!!!🎉
camera & audio are great! I Love all your videos!

Thanks so much 😊
First, I want to say you are looking fit and fabulous! I started to incorporate speed workouts in my last half marathon training using a Garmin training plan. I loved the challenge. I realized I was too comfortable and cozy in my easy miles and never really knew what actual racing felt like. LOL Maybe one day I can actually get through a half or full marathon "racing" 😅

Thank you! And yes I need to make sure I keep working on these types of workouts too
As always, absolutely love your return to YT. Also, when you set up the camera, I kept expecting you to do an “awkward body comparison” like you used to in your running a mile every day for 30-days videos 😅

haha! I should have at least done running outfit of the day pose
Erin this video was so funny I rmm when I first did an interval on my watch I was so confused. There is a small buzzing sound tho in the video which is fine overall and I thought having the camera set up that way was nice! Can't wait for your next video

Also what kind of microphone do you use? It sounds really good even as you're running. BTW you inspire me to continue in my beginning running journey. Thank you!

It's the DJI lapel mic :)
Your looking amazing! Thanks for showing this other 40 year old that if I stick with something it does help, who knew🤷♀️🤣 You still enjoying yoga? I’m typing this early in the video so you may answer that later lol
Audio is good. I think recovery refers to remaining in rest for the amount of time recommended, in this case 22hrs, until your next wkout, ideally.

ooooh that makes sense
I did this workout yesterday. It is so weird, because the sprint is so short, 10 sec, and the rest is 3 minutes. I had the same problem, define “rest”. The 6:50 was attainable for me, too.

I watched this yesterday, but I had to come back and say thank you. I’m having horrible seasonal depression and getting over Covid and everything was feeling hopeless. This video got me out of the house for a walk and I’m so grateful for you! 🥹🩷
