A lot of the US does card taps for payments! I can’t speak for Vegas but I just traveled to FL and it was all card tap payments- same for the Midwest!

@@dexterthewolf9144 When I was in the US in 2018/2019, there wasn't much tap payment available at all. But it was really common in my country. I recall frequently going to tap my card and I was constantly been given weird looks from people haha

I haven't seen a single restaurant that accepts tap. They always take your credit card away & swipe it. But yes, I'm aware other places have it now. In the past, it was rare. But I also brought up the swiping thing because chip cards usually can't be swiped in Canada, but in the US they still accept swipe, which is a good thing when you can't use your PIN.

Yeah I haven’t swiped in years! I usually do Apple Pay or tap, occaaaaasionally I’ll have to insert the chip. But I’ve never had to put my pin in at restaurants so I’m sure you’ll be okay!

Pro tip: when it asks for your pin just hit the Green Enter button. It’ll still process your payment. When you need cashback is the only reason you need your pin.

As a cashier in the U.S, even without tap there's usually a way to skip entering your pin (place I volunteer at currently gets many older patrons who forget theirs). It's still a good idea to know it though, especially if you're going to Las Vegas

Grocery hauls are always fun to watch, I don't mind them at all. Or at least tips on how to eat healthy on a budget could be nice. My fiance is a postal worker and often I struggle to find things that he can eat on the go, but are also not terrible. I am loving the sketches so much. I am def getting the zip up even if it's just flowers. I've been waiting so long for that to be an option.

The majority of places in America offer the option to swipe or tap. I honestly can't remember the last time I went somewhere that didn't have both. Either way, if it prompts you to enter a pin, just ask the cashier how to use credit. Majority of the time you just hit enter without inputting your pin and it will run as credit.

My bank has a rewards program for credit purchases, so I've gotten used to just pushing the green button and hoping for the best. It that doesn't work, I ask and the cashier tells me which buttons to push. Hope it works for you as well.

I know they have tap. I mentioned swiping because chip cards typically can't be swiped in Canada. Tap has limits, so I will need to swipe if my PIN doesn't work.

Wow been awhile since I saw any of your videos 🙀 I have an etsy shop which is closed atm, to be possibly reopened in a few months... I also gotta add I love watching business type videos now-a-days, can learn new ways of doing things when it comes to running a small business, when/if I reopen my store on etsy I play to have a website too, so I can get business on my etsy and bring them over to my website as I do plan to close my etsy shop sometime in the future... As I watch these sort of videos I can like I said get ideas on how to run things as smoothly as possible, storage, packaging, storage for my stock, storage of packaging, packaging material to go inside the package, etc... I know some people just shred paper or tissue paper etc, and use that when they pack orders instead of using stuff from the shop or Amazon etc, even shred newspapers... but very interesting learning ways others do it and work out what works best for you, and that's what I'm working on in the coming months, I'll be making a reasonably big order next month so I'm excited to do that, I just recently ordered some specific macrame cord for something I'm going to be making, I want to make sure I have what I need before reopening... I've missed seeing your blogs no idea what happened but hopefully I can get back on track and catch up with all the happenings that's been happening for you guys... hope everything continues to go well for you guys... I'm gonna try going back to the last blog I watched and catch up with everything Baylee and Ch 😅

Most places take tap to pay or even card chip reading I rarely use swipe at all anymore here in rural Minnesota, I would think Vegas would be even more up on that. Hope you have a good trip!

For the card pin you could try opening the banking app or website and see if they allow you to change the pin there (assuming they allow that, but it doesn't hurt to check)

Don’t know about Vegas but where I live in the US we have tap to pay on almost all our card readers. There’s only a handful of places that I can think of that don’t do tap to pay.

i'm in nyc.. we do in fact tap our cards in like 90% of places lol idk about vegas but you might be ok? hopefully 😅 u can also ask to have debit cards swiped as credit btw. usually they're fine with that.

I know the US has tap. I brought up swiping because most places in Canada do not allow you to swipe chip cards. But the US still allows it for the most part. Tap has limits, so I might need to swipe.

No, because I would still have to import into Canada & pay the duty. That's why I'm only using Canadian suppliers.

You have to tap the card or insert & use your pin. That's the only way cards are issued, and it's been like that for a long time (at least a decade). But if a card is swipe only, like a foreign card for example, it can still be swiped.

Sorry about your issues darn banks but I find the frustrating situations are at least secure and for what’s it worth swipe is an option many places over here have tap though I see some places are picky about Apple Pay in some lines. People want our money but they make it hard for themselves to get it.😂 we don’t get it either.
