I’m currently focussing on one scale each week in my practice sessions. This week it’s Eb …. I’ve only been learning 2 years just can’t seem to remember the scales with all the enharmonic fingerings ….

That's great. Consistency and some sort of map of what / where you are going is what's important... the hard part of KZread is that it's difficult to make videos for everyone's level, but I hope that no matter my viewer's lever... hopefully they can take something of a value away. Thanks for watching and always commenting!

My picture froze and voice stopped at 6:29 and it remained that way to the end 15:16. I tried reloading the video and restarting KZread, but the problem remained. I am not experiencing that on other Oracle videos this morning. 🤷🏻♂️

Sorry to hear that... it works fine on my side. The original video is titled "Saxophone Technique - Getting Creative With Your Practice" Maybe that will work properly. Thanks for letting me know!

Before you mentioned it I thought, "Some of those exercises sound like something Coltrane invented & used."

One prominent jazz saxophonist told me that stop practicing scales, and your examples I’m putting into the scale group. Scales have something in common with music, he said, but it’s not music. So practice a song.
