Plat think, but honestly, if I queue DPS now I feel so cosmetic, it's basically just try to stay alive and shoot something while the tanks and supports play the game within the game. If my tank is way worse we just lose, but now it's a lot slower because the supports can kind of sustain all his poor decisions. Before the game was just over really quick.

I mean, that's really just it. If their tank was decent, it would have been a good fight. But you were that much better, so having a character that doesn't just instantly fall over when two of the other team sneeze at you just works now.

I feel like this patch for tank is the embodiment of "what are you gonna do? Shoot me?"

Listen I get that this isn’t the answer, gigabuffing tanks, but listen every other role has had a chance to be broken, oppressive, and just straight up the best role in the game, while tanks always go through the shitty cycle of road hog, mauga, Orissa, like it’s never the fun tanks they giga buff and make meta, if the tanks are broken the some time because of these buffs ok whatever, at least we get some time to actually enjoy our role until they can figure out an actual solution

@@user-qs2ti7gn6b i played rein all night last night and when I was much better than my enemy tank I destroyed them even though they counter picked me, but even with the buffs I can still feel the same things prior, if my DPS aren’t killing and my supports choose to do nothing, the game becomes 10 times harder even with the buffs, I understand what you’re saying though, but again, tanks have been oppressed for so long now and every role other than tank was broken, hard meta, busted, not even once like multiple times, they can let us have some limelight for a little while

Idk mauga is zero threat now after those "buffs". 3 secs and pretty much useless. Seems like the new doomfist to me and I'm perfectly happy with that. They should leave this for a bit for sure. Dps and support role have had it way to easy with over tuned heros. They are the first to go "tank diff" no matter how bad they play. Let us tanks dominate for a while 😂 we've been the punching bag for a long while now.

I don't even play tank but it's so entertaining to watch when Flats plays Rein, effin love it!

After months of not having almost any impact in my games, im loving this! Die with glory!

I've always loved rein, even when he was the wrong pick before the patch, BUT NOW?! it's glory time

man i kinda forgot how much i love watching flats play rein lmao. at least there one thing good about this patch

hey, i just had this idea and i thought id share it. so i have been playing over watch since the beginning. from 6v6, to 5v5, the game has moved into different directions into different ways. what i mean by that: most hero’s have ability’s that haven’t changed much since OW1, but there are few that have. some for the better, but some struggle to come to paste with the changing format (6v6>5v5). for example, DVAs matrix struggles to find value in this format (hot take, my bad). also, to keep try to mend the ship we are riding, developers have tried very hard to keep up with the changing tides (at least they are now). from rotating out some OW1 maps, changing the abilities of hero’s, to the constantly back and forth of nerf/buff/nerf/buff etc. moving forward, i play all roles, but i do seem to find myself having less fun in other roles vs others, seasons in, seasons out. but i have concluded, that the hardest role to play in my opinion is the rank role, through in, through out the patches. why i believe this: to kinda go back to my first point for a second, the game was originally made into a 6v6 format, then that changed. the meta was usually 2 tanks/2 sup/2 dps, now you have 5v5, with the roles as we all know them today. so the biggest impacted role from this alone was the tank. i’m not going to get into the 5v5, 6v6 debate l, you’ve you made it this far trust me this isn’t my point. but happy to have you. most of the nerfs to buffs, etc, i believe have been try to fill this void that now has been created. i kind of have an idea, but you’ll just have to hear me out, or disagree with me. i just love this game, and care about it. this could be crazy, or a solution. i don’t know. but here it is: give the tank role two options when they play the game. pick your tank, then pick an ability for said tank. each tank has multiple “tool ability’s” in their kit. they can change abilities in selected tank when they have to respawn again. there were two tanks, now there’s just two everything else. if this works, possibly less buffs and nerfs until THIS gets tweaked and tuned. -just a thought, thank you for reading.

Its got to feel good to roll someone on rein and have them swap to bastion to counter you and to kiriko for easy survivability

Yup I have been playing DPS since the queues are short and locking Mei. The amount of stall new tank + mei have is insane. On top of the the buffs to tank are not enough to save buffed tanks from being walled off and focused. Also jumping in front of your tank when Mauga or Bastion use cooldowns and popping cryo is very good. You can tank so much damage while your tank recovers.

Sig and dva are the only tanks in the game apparently, because those are the only tanks I ever see

i know this is not allowed, but i've been playing since the patch and been having fun

Wow Reins shield actually works now!

I legit need to play aggressive shield more like this. I've been really sleeping on its potential. We actually walked a game yesterday with a Rien who wanted to play aggressive. It's rare as a Lucio to get to play with speedboost on so consistently. They COULD NOT get away from us as he just laid his hammer into them all.

Can we all just appreciate that the bg music in flats's vids is always from super mario 3d or galaxy

It’s not just the barrier but armor buff too and top of that DPS passive was reduced to 10% from 20% which makes armored tanks such as Rein or Ram much more potent than before

Rein doesn't look to broken but its always fun to play rein plus theres lot of counters so i don't think hes that good but hes better

this game has basically turned into different variations of that one game mode from Gears of War where you have one big dude on each team and you gotta protect them, whoever loses their big dude first loses

I wouldn't say Rein is unstoppable, he just now PLAYABLE.

Honestly, loving the tank changes. I'm a support main, but I finally managed to get my placements done on dps and tank. Dps wasn't so bad, but I just couldn't get anywhere on tank. I couldn't justify Tanking and ruining other people's games when I'm a shit Tank on top of how much they just melted. This new patch made it possible for to do my placements ^_^

Mauga feels useless. He has his 3 secs of being god them dies immediately after. Happy af about it too! So tired of that tank. 😂 doom fist feels really good right now. staying alive longer with the over health time extended.

As a metal rank tank player, I’d say the overbuff feels pretty good. Which translates to the higher ranks are totally screwed. . .

The rein Optimus prime skin is probably my favorite ever tbh

Tanks also have insane dps with their enormous health pools. What happens when your tank goes down or is on the wrong hero? You get run over with 0 hope of turning the fight.

I may sound crazy, but after playing as a tank It feels good to play again, but it also still feels good to go against them. I don’t know how it is in higher ranks in QP or comp. To me, the changes are surprising and feel ok. The only ones I don’t agree with are Mauga and Zaryra, but for some reason, they don’t feel broken to go against. IDK if that’s to do with people in qp don’t know how to play them properly or that the changes aren’t as crazy as I thought. Again this is just from what I’ve seen myself when playing the game, I can’t speak for higher ranks. Is it just me or do others feel this way too that the changes to tank don’t make them as crazy powerful as we thought?

Imma leave this little story here cause why not: In a quick play match i killed the enemy tank who went zarya then mauga (btw i was playing mauga during this) then decided to dare thr enemy tank to play orisa. Ya i kicked their ass and sent a friend request after the match, kills between us were 22 (ish i forgot the exact number) / 8

For the first time since overwatch one Rein can actually use his shield and not die and people are crying because hes not dying instantly. SMH

Dear flats , I’ve been diagnosed with chronic tank bully PTSD. As a healer main I cry my self to sleep daily while thinking of all the reinheart monsters relentlessly hunting me down…. The rapture … the horror , tank buffs are terrifying. I now no longer sleep for I am dead , a reinheart charged through my screen and into my brain .
