Rehearsal in the cellars of the Teutonic fortress (backstage)
Музыка
Had a cool opportunity to practice music in the Golub Castle in Poland during the European Champion of Traditional Archery last year. The bagpiper had fun and took this video:)
The music is a melody with a "Tryton" name from the Polack Notebook (Astramiečava Manuscript or Manuscript No 127/56 of the Jagiellonian Library) - a collection of baroque music of the 16-17th cc. After World War II, a Belarusian Uniate liturgy book (diurnal) from German repositories happened to be in Poland and in 1956 it was brought to the Library of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. This liturgy book cover had an attached manuscript note, which was found by Belarusian professor Adam Maĺdzis in 1962. Jerzy Gołos, a Polish music scientist, studied this manuscript. Since then he is presented as its “official discoverer”. The manuscript was written in the village of Astramiečava (Brest Region, Belarus), but it belonged to the Polack bishop, therefore it was called the Polack Notebook.
This composition has recorded in Santa Maria album of 2013. LISTEN to it here: • Stary Olsa - Santa Mar... or on digital music platforms.

And we also recommend to visit this castle or a knights' tournament there. Great view, interesting museum exposition of the castle, great beer and hotel in the castle.

@@StaryOlsa You can note on which side of the former border you are watching at the windows of XIX century buildings. The "russian" ones are divided in 3 and "german" in 4.
