AGT has been around 17 years. They invited you to audition knowing what you do (acapella covers), yet no one on the AGT staff thought to ask for your set list in advance so the songs could be cleared of potential copyright issues? It won't help to complain about it, but that's very unprofessional of AGT.

Was that the reason they did not allowed to go to the live shows? To me there performance on stage was also not as above shown. It sounded and looked a bit shaky to me.

@@NielsNL68 This rehearsal includes "Bobby's World" (Howie Mandel's show in the '90s) and "The Flintstones" (Simon is a Flintstones fan/collector). They performed those on stage, but they were cut from the broadcast due to copyright issues. With just three remaining songs "The Simpsons", "Modern Family" (for Sofia) and "Cheers", their set was quite short. They passed their audition with three yes votes since Howie was absent due to having covid. Two other acts from the same audition taping, a solo singer named Wynn and a group called the "NFL Player's Choir" advanced to the live shows, so I don't think Howie's absence hurt MayTree, though if he saw them then perhaps he would've fought for them in the next round. That next round was called "Judge's Deliberations", and it has changed over the years. It used to be broadcast with a separate panel of guest judges, and it was called "Judge Cuts". In the covid era they've tried to streamline the process to avoid bringing in more audiences. So this new "Judges Deliberations" round narrowed down all the acts who passed their auditions (there were 138), and 55 were selected to advance to the live shows. This was done by Simon, Sofia, Heidi and Howie at a closed-door meeting at Simon's house. MayTree was not chosen to advance. When they announced the semi-finalists, the judges said their decisions reflected a desire for more "diversity" on the show. I will leave it to others to speculate on what that means, but I will say that if talent becomes secondary to other considerations, then that can lead to all sorts of unintended consequences.

The broadcast cut off two of their songs? I just KNEW they were being disadvantaged from the start. AGT is a farce these days.

Now i feel really said, this rehearsal sounded so much better than the version you did on the stage. :( I would have loved it to see you go to the live shows but somehow it did not come over the footlights. thanks for sharing. I love you girls and guys 🥰
