Yeah, so ... Timothée Chalamet as Regulus Black is probably one of the best things I've ever seen on KZread .... so obviously I wanted to "join in" on that account. Originally I was doing a video for Ben Howard's "Oats in the water" because the lyrics ("go your way, I'll take the long way round, I'll find my own way now") felt SO right for this, HOWEVER I didn't really feel the inspiration for it ... then I went through my music library and came across the original version of this song (which some of you may know I used back when the seventh Harry Potter book had just been released for a video) and I thought the lyrics were PERFECT ... but I didn't wanna use the original version of the song; thankfully a little browse through KZread landed me on this wonderful remix of the song and BOOM: New video!
I hope you like it ... I'll be honest: Though I think it's a mess I do really like it myself. Originally I intended to add Marlene McKinnon to the video and some more with the parents and possibly James but it got WAY to crowded so I'll be saving that for another time ... also I think I may do a Regulus/Hermione time travel thing (I've been reading WAY too many fanfics!)...

And I suppose it's slightly AU ... or is it? I probably gave them a closer relationship than what is actually canon.

Regulus is such an underrated character, he has such an interesting and complex story!! He is one of my favorite slytherins and his relationship with Sirius is so heartbreaking, it hurts!!

@@nayjbeily9445 if you’re talking about a movie for the marauders, there isn’t one yet. But if you’re talking about what movies regulus and Sirius are from, it’s from the Harry Potter series. Sirius isn’t mentioned til probably the prisoner of Azkaban, and I think regulus is mentioned in the order of the Phoenix. But if u want to learn about regulus more clearly, kreacher mentions regulus in the deathly hallows part 1 or 2 I think.

Ikr when he was 14 his brother left him with his perents .. and he got forced to do what his perents wanted .. then he died a hero but noone ever knew

Ya'll call snaoe the unsung hero with his crazy obsession for lily evans , regulus is the true hero of Harry Potter , without him the trio would be a horcrux short . Not to mention he changed by himself for the cause while snape only wanted revenge for lily evans .
I just found this video and I totally agree, on Regulus being the unsung hero of the story, it's tragic that almost no one knew what happened to him, and that Sirius didn't know what became of him, or the choice he made...and to the person who said that comment about Snape being the hero...I agree. He wasn't, it obsession and revenge on his part. Regulus defected for a different reason, because he knew it was wrong, and it was for Kreacher, a house elf. It shows a very big step in progress for him, and Slytherin and that there are good people in Slytherin.
This needs to be a movie... like now!

This is amazing! I never thought about what Regulus had to have gone through to get the locket. This was a really nice take on the whole situation and I absolutely love Ben Barnes as Sirius - mainly I just love Ben Barnes as anything - but this really made me think about that arc of the story in a different way! :)

Oh My God. Darling, this is absolutely stunning! I loved every second of it! I love these two. Ben is perfect Sirius and Timothée is perfect Regulus and this.. is one of the best videos on yt about these two !

I feel like regulus felt he couldn't get out like his brother. He didn't have friends he could go to for help like sirius did. He couldn't trust anyone
