This is crazily on point. My ex was a chronic people pleaser and I was made out to be a villain all because I was authentic and spoken openly about boundaries and how sick I was of him not setting boundaries with people. I did ask the question of why peoples opinion always mattered, why others people expectations had to be their sounding board for their own decisions in life. Can’t stand a people pleaser. I always suggested for them to find themself, seek therapy, feel all the emotions, but it was ignored.

My larger family shows love, kiss & hug… but shit it also backstabbing, can’t take accountability, shifting blame ass, (minding everyone’s business) enmeshed, type family! It’s too much so I limit my calls/visits. He and I grew up within smaller fam (one sibling/parents), toxic in different ways but made similarities! That said… my (ex) guy could be so damn sweet, but viscous with that mouth! And he didn’t understand that I was coming from a place of love, tryna appeal to the good in him (cause I know “you better than that”), but didn’t understand how much worse I could cut him if I wanted to. I’ve lived that life arguing with my HS sweetheart/exhusband. We not doing that. His feelings were hurt enough when I called him superficial and materialistic, when he tried to impress me with money, then tried to accuse me of being after money! 😂 I didn’t ask you for shit that was promised, waved, or offered. Yes, he wants everything he sees vs like a grown brat. Will go and cop the better version & it’s annoying! I never gassed him up to feel as if he needed the bullshit to be better than he is/was!
