The great story teller-Regine Velasquez.

I read from one of the comments here and he was saying about “loyalty” to their favorite local artists - having Regine as their choice. And speaking of loyalty, mine with Regine started way back then - 1984 in Tanghalan ng Kampeon. I was able to follow her journey from her winning the grand prize to her first guestings on TV shows to her international competitions that she won to having launched her debut single and eventually her first album. I’ve seen her appear on TV with her kind of anorexic structure then, with her front teeth slightly unalligned. Her first manager, Ronnie Henares, initiated a make over and she came out with style on a gradual manner, from her wardrobe to hairstyle. She came out so trendy and her gowns has became more revealing over the years. I was able to witness how Chona, Regine’s real name, grew as an artist and develop to who she is now. This is basically because im just one year older than her aside from the fact that I really admire her talent and personality. So, I can attest that the only major physical enhancement on Regine’s is her teeth. She had a major teeth implant. She didnt have a nose job, per tsismis. Nose line is life. She do her own make up even on her major concerts that’s why she was able to manage to achieve the look that she wants. So, i dont dignify anymore those claim that Regine had a Rhino- i know better than you, guys. So, if admiring Regine up to this moment defines you to have that certain level of loyalty, you are also defined as “tasteful” and “classy” to your choice because Regine is one of a kind. She is timeless, no matter how many have surfaced today as newborns in the industry. Many young generation singers now are performing to impress, but Regine is there to tell a story in the sweetest notes possible. Regine has captured my heart from day one, and she will always be an inspiration till the end.

Same sentiments heheh.. I only watched Regine's videos for nearly 2 decades.. pag nasanay ka sa boses niya hindi ka mastisfied sa iba kahit sabihin mo pang magagaling sila.. babalik at babalikan Mo siya.

Same here. Followed her journey since Bagong Kapeon days. She never cease to amaze me with her singing. Every note she hits and every word she sings tells a story that brings out a lot of emotions and triggers excitement to her audience. You can our loyalty to regine not normal. I think i watch at least 80% of her concert in the phils starting from Narito Ako at the FAT, including her mall shows. Before, I always bought general admission tickets. In recents years i can already afford front row seats. I bought all her albums/records (cassette tapes, cds and dvds), watched all her movies and teleseryes, whether im here in the phils or abroad. I always find ways. I search her in youtube and listen to her everyday.

Chona is only her nickname, her real name is REGINA ENCARNACION VELASQUEZ, she just call chona because her father called her chon, its came from her name Encarnacion... (Regine Fan since I was 8, I already 26 now).. ♥️💕

2019 na Wala pang nakakagawa nito. Only Regine! Wala ng papantay.

The song is very emotional. It started with a dream that someday you’ll be with someone you love. The next song speaks about that dream has finally arrived but it didn’t last due to unknown circumstance then it ended with a separation. The song again culminates that sometime, somewhere they’ll be back together and have a happily ever after. So sad! 😢

I just can't compare her to other singers here and abroad. She is Regine.

When she sings, it's always about the song..the words...the story. She highlights the song with her voice. The "divas" now are more self indulgent. It's about how good she can do this or that...it's more showing off their skills more than the song. But that is normal. They are still maturing. Not everyone can be Chona.

I am reduced to tears. What a magnificent performance. I wish Regine would play a major role in broadway. Bravo!!!
