@@johnmatthews3990 Hi! Charice is a wonderful singer, no doubt, but I doubt she can do a connected legato up to that high note that Regine just did. I watched Charice's performance of I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing and she has difficulty singing connected notes up to G5 that Regine hit.

naalala ko, elementary ako nito nung kinanta nya to sa sop and nasa resort kami, di ko pa sya kilala noon kasi i am not a fan of opm that time. napatingin ako don sa tv sa bar kasi nanunuod yung bartender, sabi nya "ay ayan na si regine", so ako hinintay ko din kasi wala pa kasama ko pagsiswimming.. jusko, di ko pinagsisihan. haha! simula noong araw na yon, hinanap ko na lahat ng albums ni regine, instant fan kumbaga, inaabangan ko na sya lagi until dumating ang time na kinakanta ko na mga kanta nya, kahit lumaylay ang dila ko ok lang basta maabot ko highnotes nya, and now that i am already 32years old im still proud to say that i am one true certified regine fan. kahit tumanda pa ako, pakikinggan ko pa rin sya, sya pa rin ang laman ng spotify ko ngayon. haha! dumating man sa point na di ko na sya makita sa tv, her music will always stay in my heart. tatanda sya pero ang music nya ay mananatili sa puso ng bawat filipino. i love you ate regine! 😁

Wow, one of the best song of regine

Time and time again, Regine delivers a song with a powerful punch. Excellent vocal range, brilliant vocal control and fantastic showmanship. Bravo.

I've never seen any Hollywood belters who could match her vocal ability. Truly she could hold a candle to any known global belters. Yes whitney, celine and mariah could all belt and hit notes above the stratosphere but the finesse of Regine's belting is on another level. Her clarity, ease and sustaining high belts, and her connected legato as she went up to G5 and slowly descending with a run for 11seconds is astonishing.

@@Francis-mt8xu Regine's belts beyond E5 are clear, pristine and resonate. And she sustains them with so much ease. Only Celine could match her in that level. Whitney and Mariah could never sustain notes beyond E5 in live, on in the studio.

She's not even making an effort. And she actually had to remove your so-called American "soulish" and gospel angst to make it palatable to her Filipino audience. In fact, Whitney's live performances to an ordinary Filipino listener are nothing but shouts of an angry and crazy woman.

This is one of best performance here on youtube. Brilliant display of her vocal range, excellent vocal techniques/calesthenics, impressive head tone. Just brilliant.

@@joshuacatadman9748 Syempre kapag tumatanda bababa talaga yung key, try mo panoorin yung late 80's na live ni Whitney especially '87-'95. Yan yung era na sobrang untouchable sya. Nagsimula na rin kasi sya mag bisyo after nyan kaya mas naging mabilis mag deteriorate yung boses at katawan nya. Unlike Regine, dumaan din naman sya sa stage na di na nya kaya abutin yung original key nya dahil sa acid reflux. Ngayon mataas pa rin naman pero di na gaya nung early 2000 ( based ko lang dito kasi marami sya narelease na songs at concerts nyan) at dagdag na rin natin after nya manganak.
