I think what crushes me more than anything was Junji Ito being rumored as a creature designer. Apparently all that progressed with him was a open invitation to work on a project but nothing else. He wasn't even aware it was for this game. I'm glad World of Horror exists to scratch an Ito itch but goddamn Silent Hills could've been dogshit and still have me excited to play it based on that Ito-san involvement.

Getting Reggie's genuine reaction to Konami fucking the world is brilliant and I hope it ends up in a Woolie Vs. the Algorithm clip

I have to watch this in chunks, in a well-lit room so I don’t freak myself put. The anxiety PT produces is unparalleled.

Woolie was such a drag. Every day he'd react to the same slop, dress in the same purple and green, sit in front of the same kind of fighting games... Yeah, he was just that kind of guy. But then one day, he goes and turns us down for MvC3! He couldn't even be original about the game he did it for. I'm not complaining... I was dying of boredom anyway without anything to watch on KZread, But guess what? I will be coming back, and I'm bringing my new friends with me.

Consider the fact that there are many seemingly random events that never happened to Reggie, like Lisa physically apearing in the hallway, her FUCKIN ROAMING THE HALLWAY, she rushing at the camera if you walk towards her, her appearing in the bathroom mirror, in the window, in the balcony, etc. Reggie had a lot of luck that saved him from fully shitting his pants, also he was lucky to somehow avoid anything related to P.T including the fact that this was even related to Silent Hill lol, this was trully a unique experience that it's pretty much imposible to see on youtube nowadays.

Knowing about this game and having Reggie not know was arguably SCARIER. Like, he SAW the balcony, so I'm clenching thinking he's gonna see Lisa up there at any moment. And he keeps looking in the mirror! So I keep thinking Lisa is gonna run up and through him! It's not fair! Mine wasn't the butthole that was supposed to be clenched!!!

Yeah I remember playing this when it came out with my friend group and failing to trigger the ending, then meeting up again next week and forcing another friend that wasn't present the first time to play the game so we could see his reaction, then everyone got scared again because events that we thought were scripted weren't happening this time so everyone was super tense because we didn't know wtf was going on lmao

I can't believe that Reggie solved the "Hello!" puzzle by complete accident. And yet him glancing around clueless was somehow even more immersive and terrifying. I don't like the red rooms :( HE SOLVED A BABY GIGGLE WHILE WOOLIE WAS GONE that's fuckin' hillarious AND??? FOUND A PHOTO FRAGMENT BY HIMSELF?? Damn. For a dude that shuffles around and has Woolie tugging him along by the ear, he does alright just stumbling into the answers while looking like a wide-eyed horror protag.

Hopefully Bloober lands the remake for SH2 (they probably won't). I think the best Silent Hill game will be lowkey Townfall. I have a hunch f is going to be cancelled or metamorph into some other shit that's less exciting and wrecked by budget restrictions/big ambitions.

They had a dream team of horror creators. They released a teaser that set the world on fire. And then they threw it all in the garbage for no good reason, burning bridges with the team in the process and ensuring it will never happen again. If anyone has a bigger tragedy in what happened to a game than that, I want to hear it.

Christ, I haven't played/watched P.T. in years, but the moment the spooky noises started, I was right back in 2014 and shitting myself, all over again.

I swear Lisa standing in the hallway still looks so realistic, the lighting is so good! That ending cutscene... Man Fuckonami it still hurts

the beauty of the playthrough of a dude stuck in the hell, because he killed his wife, being saved by woolies wife, is a beautiful irony.

the costume fit is unparalleled. BOMBASTIC PICASSO

I remember playing this with five other people all sitting on the same couch in the darkness. Despite there being so many of us ALL of us still damn near shivered in fear at times, the game really is extremely good at creating a spooky atmosphere.

I surprised Silent Hill can recover after what Woolie and Reggie did to Pyramid Head.

I shed a tear every Halloween knowing that the ps4 I had with P.T. downloaded on it was stolen.

God its still a shame we’ll never get this silent hill ever, with Kojima, Del Torro, Walking Dead guy as our MC and the creepy horror manga author Junji Ito, sounds like one hell of a ride. Radio Fetus Guy could’ve been an iconic and memorable villain, guy was real interesting as a character.

Thought Reggie was doing 'fancy day out with the kids Father Gascoigne' at first with that wig and hat

Seeing how Woolie and Reggie both were completely bamboozled by the fake crash screen, I now NEED them to play through Eternal Darkness. The insanity effects still tricked Pat and Matt despite a good decade or so from release and being played an emulator.

27:12 was the highlight for me. Whipping the camera around willy-nilly is one of Lisa's triggers, but it's unreliable enough that when the game tells you to turn around, the jumpscare can just as easily not happen and make everybody feel so so much worse

Biggest crime in gaming was Konami not letting this happen. Still haven't forgiven them a decade on.

Between this and certain parts of Phantom Pain, makes me think it would be great if Kojima ever actually made a psychological horror game.

They're both interesting projects, but unfortunately not remotely close to the polish of the original. They're also both abandoned projects, unfortunately.

Woolie giving him some light guidance & hints together with his playstyle probably helps, unlike most first time players who are going in completely blind... plus I believe hes not very familiar with horror games in general, and the scares might be designed to trigger at behaviours you might expect from a horror game fan
