Reggie Miller Game Winner vs Bulls in 1998 Eastern Conference Finals

Спорт

May 25, 1998 - Down 2-1 in the series and trailing by 1 with just under 3 seconds left, the Pacers looked to Reggie Miller for another miracle, and he delivered. On the in-bounds pass, Miller executed the catch-and-shoot to perfection as he hit the go-ahead three pointer with under a second on the clock. Following a timeout, the Bulls looked to their leader in Michael Jordan and he barely missed a buzzer-beating shot of his own that would’ve given Chicago a victory and a 3-1 series lead.

The most memorable thing from this game is not Reggie Miller's game-winner. It's not Jordan's near-game-winner. It's Larry Bird standing emotionless while everyone else in the arena celebrated, concerned for what Jordan could do with that much time left.

I remember sitting in the living room watching this game live. I used to be a huge Jordan fan. I was so incredibly upset about that no call offensive foul. Miller just shoves Jordan. In today's weak ass NBA if that happened, then the person who got pushed would have given us an Oscar worthy flop

Chuck Shadowens how many times does Lebron travel without even taking a dribble first before taking off up the court on fast break. If you watched b-ball you would know. Who cares though. They both are great and we have to stop making irrelevant points to try and bring players down.

This is the best Pacers team ever. Took a legendary dynasty to the limit. If it was against anyone else, they would’ve gone on to win the title. But that’s what happens when you play the greatest of all time, there is just simply no margin for error. The worst part is, they had the Bulls on the ropes in Chicago (in game 7), but the second quarter of that game absolutely killed them.

As a Knicks fan this is what made 1999 so special for me. Pacers were kinda riding high in their eyes after taking the Bulls to the brink almost winning. They figured with the Bulls ending their run with MJ retiring and Pippen n company getting traded off 99 would be their year to go to Finals. But out of nowhere their old nemesis the Knicks came and upset them to go to Finals. Pacers did get the Knicks back the next year to go to Finals but 99 was still sweet.
