George missversteht Tomas Linder (34:12 bis 34:53), weil er die Fläche unterschlägt, welche die Bioreaktoren für die Energieversorgung benötigen.

This protein flour combined with a 'victory garden' and a soon to be decreasing global population may just possibly save us from our sorry selves.

I think it will be very helpful, but meat eaters will not be satisfied with it. Clean, cultured meat produced with lab technology, along with dairy alternatives from precision fermentation at a similar cost to what they replace might just do the trick. These three plus plant based animal product alternatives all will help to end animal agriculture as we know it.

Climate crisis is now rapid climate breakdown. We HAVE to change everything to prevent the inevitable... to paraphrase George Monbiot here: Waiting for governments and big business that made this situation the way it is is pointless - they prove themselves incapable of making change ... WE have to be the changemakers - WE have to generate the movement for change... it's not going to come from governments ...

"Well, people need to find out the root reasons and basic causes behind the climate crisis. People need to get socially educated, scientifically vibrant, politically conscious and sound, culturally elevated and enhanced to know the reasons behind causes to every changes happening within us and around us, to know every reasons behind every causes to every changes behind such drastic climate change, analyse, find out trustworthy, reliable and reluctant solutions, draw conclusions to root causes behind such humanitarian catastrophe through every possible mediums. If not today, then never."----activits around the world ❤️✌️

George and Greta Thunberg show the way. They eat a fully plant based diet. Going vegan is the single most effective way for each of us to minimize our environmental footprint. "According to the most comprehensive analysis of farming’s impact on the planet, plant-based food is most effective at combatting climate change. Oxford University researcher Joseph Poore, who led the study, said adopting a vegan diet is “the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth.” “A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use.”. -Joseph Poore, Environmental Science Researcher, University of Oxford. Joseph Poore switched to a plant based diet after seeing the results of the study. Links at my channel under "About.

George Monbiot seems to spend a lot of time Tweeting. All day long he is Tweeting these nasty comments. I happen to agree with most of what he Tweets ... most, but not all. But is that really a good use of his time?

Yes. He's done the work - still doing it - and it needs to be disseminated as far and wide as possible - and Twitter is the best agent for sharing that work

Not that many 'intellectuals' communicate or take action he does.

Maybe he has assistants who help him do that. He also manages to do these interviews, write a lot of books, and write a column in The Guardian.

@@someguy2135 When I read Monbiot's columns and watched his video lectures I agree with much of what he says, but on Twitter, specifically in his uneducated attacks on Alan Savory who is trying to save land and reforest areas to bring back nature - Monbiot ... to me anyway ... seems like a major jerk, and he has gone way down in my estimation to where I stopped following him. Savory's thesis is that the rich diversity of nature was a symbiotic development between plants and animals - specifically the plants take in nutrients from the rocks and soil and air, and then animals, the grazing animals would eat the plants and poop out more and richer soil in more places, instead of just in one place, and the eco-system expands, and both plants and animals evolve. In that way an insulating layer is grown between the geological and the biological ( this is my own interpretation ) and Monbiot just insults and opposes Savory - without any reasoning or expertise, in very insulting and irrelevant terms. I quite dislike the guy now.

@@justgivemethetruth I favor ending animal agriculture and giving a kick start to restore the balance of nature as part of the rewilding process. As with his advocacy of returning wolves, I am sure he would be in favor of returning (for example) American Bison to the American plains once the replacement of animal agriculture allows us to free up 75% of the land now used for food production. Savory's methods of reducing the impact of cattle only work for a short time. Once the soil in a given area gets saturated with carbon, it can no longer be used for grazing under his system. I could cite many credible debunks of his claims.
