Finding help in the most unlikely places. God’s hand is in everything. The way we see it today has a different perception. Outside of the comfort zones or safe spaces to where most would not venture to and yet there are in those places that we can see God’s ability to make something good from the bad. That’s why everyday is an opportunity to go forth as Jesus did to share his message from all places and walks of life. Salvation and Redemption is a free gift for anyone. No other man based religion or world means can attribute to the promise of God’s Word. Jesus is coming back and he is the only way. God bless everyone on this Thursday morning. Prayers for Israel and America and the rest of the world.

✝️ “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Whether you realize it or not, growing in understanding of God starts out as an intellectual pursuit. We must engage our minds because it is there where we process information that helps us begin to understand who God is. Sometimes, connecting our minds doesn’t seem very spiritual, but it is, and most importantly it starts the process. Jesus even commanded us in loving God that we love him with all our heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37). However, for you to really know God, it must become more than just a mental or intellectual pursuit. If it never advances beyond that, then you will end up with an academic understanding of who God is, and not move to a relationship with him. That’s why the Pharisees were able to quote Scripture and knew the law, but missed who Jesus was. Their knowledge was intellectual, and never moved beyond that.

Those around Rahab might've called her a fool, if they knew what she was doing. "Jericho's walls are impenetrable - why are you trembling before these children of slaves, and betraying your countrymen?" Faithfulness to God is often framed as foolishness, blindness, or a hatred of those close to you. Yet, those close to Rahab were spared - those who trusted in Jericho's walls were not. "All other ground is sinking sand.." Seek to share Christ with the lost - even if it's in some small way. Like with Jericho, a judgment day is coming, and people need the Lord; "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God", and "the wages of sin is death". I've a long way to go, but Jesus is worthy.
