People would love Islam much much more If we had Ulama like Yasir Qadhi. most of our religious leaders Neither understand Islam nor understand peoples practical life. they gave their ''Fotwa'' without caring general people, and general people also throw their ''Fotwa'' saying , ''who cares'' !!! Technical Indeed broader aspect of a current situation

Alhamdulillah I feel grateful Allah has let me watch this video, I was told about the hadist about Rasulullah SAW saying less laugh and more sad and that's all. I feel bad everytime I feel too happy. Now I know the complete story and its wonderful. We are human being, we naturally want to feel happy and laugh than feel sad and cry. As long as the happiness doesn't came from something haram it is fine.

Very accurate, and I am also thrilled to hear about that coz since childhood, we heard you can't laugh and especially while you are in the mosque; the time had it, and also here, mostly in Arab mosques are very easy to culture with families, kids, sitting talking, bringing kawa (Arab tea) enjoying...may Allah Its so important to have a social gathering in our masjids. I am saddened by the fact that Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi had to literally walk on eggshells to deliver this sermon. He delivered a message laden with factual examples from either the Quran or authentic sources of the Quran. Whatever the source of his analysis, Dr. Qadhi’s final verdict emanated from logical reasonings tightly woven into a fabric comprising truth and the practical side of Islam. He has undoubtedly left a clear impression in my mind that none of the points of contention voiced by other learned scholars bore the underpinnings essential to categorically support their claims. Very well done sir! I had goosebumps listening to the latter part of the sermon about the attention and support received for the Palestinian cause! Ma Shaa Allah! It was as if a lifetime dua of mine was finally being considered by Allah (swt). The impact this FIFA event in Qatar has had on a plethora of fronts beneficial to Islam, the Ummah and the kindness of our brethren, especially the negatively stereotyped Arabs, is invaluable! It was as if a Tsunami had rendered impotent the collective hate and Islamophobia. How could not this event been a blessing from Allah (swt)? For those naysayers and critics, please give thanks to Allah (swt) for initiating the change of tide that will one day flow unhindered, carrying in its fold the beauty that is Islam! Ameen! JazakaLlah syeikhna, this is how Muslims should be, think and act. Ability of syeikh to embody Islam thru realities and articulate is amazing because it is what it is.. it is 100% very true, easy to be cynical about many things but it is 100% easier to be bickering and make other Muslims feel bad thru the wrong understanding of our religion while in fact, what they do is to be hypocrite, and mocking their selves. Using the verses of religion make Islam live a box while reality is there are true Muslims who are fighting in the real world and carry Islam, doing these Events of the world, contributing and participating and spreading Islam. Look not to the form of Islam but to it's content. Very Important that syeikh speaks on these kind of topics so that we feel proud and others can understand Islam and it's foundation and principals ...and TRULY, Allah will judge us all and elevate true fighters of the Deen where ever they are, from world cups to politics and everywhere... Islam is not just the forms but the substance and contents. Alhamdulillah and MashAllah. This Imam is an example of when Allah Azawajal has guided His slave TabarakAllah. Reminding us that Al-Islam is religion of peace and ease. Some leaders forget that's it's not the Muslim who is trying to be the most pious who is better but the one practicing the most humility. They forget humans are built upon balance: Worship, prayer, work, sacrifice, struggle, joy, commitment, pleasure, excitement, happiness, peace. There is nothing wrong with enjoying sports and brother Imam explained it correctly.

This is indeed a very valid point. U can't watch football for 5minutes without seeing the aura of another man. It's very difficult to avoid this as primarily part of the game is the players. Please also comment with utmost sincerity about this. If the entire nation are doing Haram, that does not make it permissible. Your point about 99%, if you are correct sir, that does not make it permissible or a basis for doubting any fatwa against it. May Allah Grant us understanding and forgive our shortcomings. With regards to the diving point: arguably the Muslim world was more divided in the eyes of the West before this world cup. Not only did peoples' experinces defied all Western media indoctrination, people are realizing that there are common Islamic values they can benefit from within their own cultures. That being said, the World Cup is distinct in that it serves as a showcase of an entire football-playing nation's culture at the world stage. Using it as a vehicle to promote unity amongst the ummah is one of the many successes of these games.
