We will never ever learn but we will never ever forget or for give any government who send people to war no matter what country 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Read a lot of comments and started to cry. Guess I still have a lot of issues, memories back then .I miss you brothers and sisters. And now we are in another war just as long and longer that we should never have been in. I consider the ones that fought in these wars my brothers.

God bless you, thank you for all you’ve done for us. I cry every time I hear this song. Seeing all these young men and women who had their whole lives ahead of them, and were killed, hurt, disrespected still to this day. Breaks my heart. You all deserved so much more. Still do…🇺🇸✝️
This song is as relevant today as it was back then.
I cry every time I hear this song and think of those days

Me too. I was 14 in 1973 when American direct involvement ended. The Vietnam era was a frightful time, at least to me.
I hated that damn war. being female I was not recruited to go. But I have a deep and abiding respect for those who fought. Politics over lives angers me and many others. How vile can a person/s be. The first time I visited the Vietnam memorial I sobbed. You have my eternal love and respect.
Respect for all soldiers veterans and victims...no one win in a war ! Thanks for this excellent video from Italy

Correction: Respect for all victims. Shame on all volunteer soldiers. Never volunteer to kill your fellow human beings. There is a big price and that is a heavy conscience. The lucky ones die.

@@helenaville5939you are so wrong. They volunteer for our freedom and pay the ultimate price of loosing their life, just to help the downtrodden of this poor terrible world. God bless our soldiers 😢❤❤❤
R.I.P. all those brave young Men who gave their lives fighting for a cause they believed was Right. So much suffering & destruction for nothing !
How many memories flood the heart and mind from a time when at 19 yrs old we were sent to do a job and betrayed in the end by our own people and government and today so many of us are scarred from that experience yet today as then few care, my only peace and comfort is in the Lord Jesus Christ!!

It was the right thing to do. Vietnam direct result of failed negotiations after WWII . Probably the last good war. Rest easy and be proud. Never mind all that protest noise just politics of youth probably well intentioned and right also. I would have had to go because I believe it was just cause but I was too young thank God. ( would've got my head shot off first thing no doubt)

As a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne.........listening to this brings back some miserable memories.
To all the men and women of this great country that served in this war and all wars even civilians that died innocently.I honor them. I am 67 years old. I never served in 1...I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT ALL THAT HAS DIED. I DO UNDERSTAND WHY I EXIST.
Bless all soldiers and victims. No one wins in a war. It was so overwhelming sad. With my deepest repect. Always in my prayers
The photography is amazing and heartbreaking!! Thank you to all of the young men and women all of those years ago for fighting a scam of a war and if lucky enough to come home continuing the fight in your heads! I will always feel love, grief and respect to my dying days!! The song is a beautiful classic and fitting, thank you!!

RIP All Those Soldiers Trying To Save Each Other’s And Save The USA Now Look What There Doing To
The war affected all
The Vietnam War was one of the worst war ever, in my opinion. I was born during the war, growing up (in Laos), trying to find/hide from bombing was the norms for us kids. Seeing people dying we've gotten used to it. But the worst part ever, was when the war ended. We were left behind, with no defends. How the hell did Laos got into this stupid North & South Vietnam war?
my daughter came to my work superising me from navy sfter 15 years ant never see her i was 😢
Unfortunately the West in particular the US became a bit paranoid after WW2 about the Soviet Union and Communist China spreading their ideology. Vietnam was colonised by France in the 19th century along with other countries in the area and the French treated the native population dreadfully and committed some awful atrocities. When Japan surrendered in 1945 the French thought they could just walk back in and go back to what it was. No wonder the Vietcong and The North decided to fight on and throw them out. Communism played its part but these other factors should be taken in consideration. Being British I have no illusions about our colonial past but at least after the end of the Second World War we saw the writing on the wall and gave up our colonies one by one.
I was a nco and medical technician in Iraq how many people have to die be for the governments of this world stop ✋ paying I have seen what it does 😢😢

A general named Spoor, had enough of that and send to all these people in the year during the Dutcg East Indian struggle in 1947 the following message: “We turn to God and John the Soldier, When great distress and bitter struggle us await, The need is past, the land in peace, Forgotten is the Lord and John the Soldier despised”.
