Guilt is feeling bad about what we do. Shame is feeling bad for who we are.

I have listened and learned so much Mr.Kurtz and Mr white...I have passed on your tapes too many..Enormously grateful.

AMAZING!!! Not everyone can be an alcoholic, you have to have certain characteristics and be willing everyday.......to be aware of everything and everyone around you...we are mostly spiritual before we drink, but an alcoholic does everything entirely....that s why we become alcoholics because we love it so much, but like anything.....too much of anything is destructive........AA is a hard school, you have to be a god damm marathin runner....and work at it Everyday!!!! Thank you Mr. Kurtz. The past eight years I have listened to and read thousands of attempts to put into words what you were able to clearly articulate in a 2 hour sit down. Precise and humble .

I concur with what you said! I found him out seemingly by accident but there are no accidents in a spiritual life. I try to seek him out and then I found out he had passed but his associate Bill White is still alive and I've got to know him through email. All these moments of serendipity added up to a better life and path. AA may be flawed but 12 step recovery isnt and EK was a good spiritual person.

Amazing timeless wisdom. I would love the transcripts to these interviews. Thank you for this.

In my opinion there's a difference between an apology and an amends. A simple example: If I broke a window. I apologize for the behavior and then I pay for the broken window.

"How does it work?" Is this clown serious? AA's "success" rate is about 5%, the same as spontaneous remission.

5% is a huge myth. Stanford researchers concluded it is the most effective path to abstinence and transformation. Use science and data my friend stop living in the dark

AA says and it's been my experience "rarely have we seen a person fail who has THOROUGHLY followed our path" If an alcoholic goes to AA meetings everyday for 90 day Gets a sponsor (mentor) and works the 12 steps to best of their ability and then tries to help others get sober Plus makes a commitment not to drink alcohol come hell or high water. They will end up sober for 90 days 100% guaranteed. And most likely will lose the desire to drink. And if that works try it again for another 90 days 🫡 Sobriety had to become the most important thing in my life or I could not have it Hopeless alcoholic /drug addict Clean and sober since December 1st 1995 If it happened to me it can happened to you or anybody who truly wants it ❤️
