This transformation just deeply touched my heart! I could see how much you and your wife must truly love each other with every careful attention to detail you did, and with her complete trust in you. I was already loving this video from the Get-Go (and of course, Daisy!) but I was not prepared for the final result! Even tho it’s mainly MDF- this desk is fit for royalty! I was skeptical when you were painting the desk. I'm a firm believer in natural wood finishes but, I think you may have changed my mind. I didn't know a redyed leather top would look this great... I always learn something new & helpful in your vlogs. I have to say, I was more than a bit skeptical until I saw how that blue made the wood on the drawers absolutely GLOW -- they look positively lit from within! And the copper touches against the blue ... one of my very favorite combinations. Absolutely lovely.

My dad was sometimes bad about doing things for other people to the detriment of our house. Mom always said the best way to get him to do something for her was to start doing it herself. This is a beautiful piece and obviously a labor of love.

In the 80’s the height of fashion my mum had pieces like this. It looks fabulous in its new guise. Furniture is still made in these styles but is mostly sprayed in a uniform colour.
