the cross hatching reminds me of how leyendecker would approach his paintings! the textured strokes really do bring another sense of life into it

The color of this piece is so beautiful. You really inspired me that even your art is already so great but you still try new techniques. It's very fun to have a peek of your sketches and thumbnails behind each work. Thanks for sharing your thoughtful process. I love the colored sketch too! May I ask which sketchbook is it? It seems to be many pages in it and watercolor looks great in it.

this sketchbook is the Canson "XL" mix media sketchbook! It's pretty decent for all kinds of media and I use it mostly for doing colour thumbnails :) thanks for watching!

The strath sketchbooks tend to be hot-pressed watercolour so the pigment rests above the paper rather than in the texture/absorbed like with cold pressed watercolour paper. It's great for drawing or if you're just doing glazes - but it does make it easier to lift pigment and paint wet on wet only.

I would personally like to thank you for leaving the animation industry to make it on your own doing your own stuff. What you produce is utilizing your talents to make something magical and help inspire the rest of us. Thanks

This is so interesting ! I'll definitely try this technique of the shadow pass and a hot pressed paper! I'm used to the cold pressed and I'm interested in seeing the difference between the two. Beautiful illustration! 🥰

You should try pastel pencils over watercolor as well. The Chalk covers watercolor beautifully.

Honestly you inspire me so much with these adorable artworks. They’re unique!!! I've never seen a style like this before and I really fell in love with it. I’m your new fan from Vietnam now 🥰. Unfortunately, I don't know how to buy your Tumble 😞😣. I had to buy watercolors as soon as I saw these amazing things from you!!!!

It feels like whenever I try to do portraits I end up with mud, lately. And even my drawing process feels off. Just like I am trying to rush and I get a mess instead of what is in my head.

I think it's art block and yeah that happens to me too. I end up with 'mud' and ofcourse don't end up with what was inside my head. Anyways good luck on your art journey ☺️

This sticker design is gorgeous! I don't think I'll be placing it anywhere else but inside the book. So excited for "Tumble", it'll be part of my art book collection but as a super-duper special artbook. Your use of colored pencils really inspired me to take the same step and it made me fall in love with making art again. Can December come sooner? Can't wait to have this book in my hands :^D

it's definitely not bad at all but I always feel like I need validation from other artists when it comes to art materials 😂😂🙃

What kind of art practices/exercises should I focus on as a beginner can u tell plz. I really like your art and i think u had some really strong foundation . Being in a country where there is no facility for authentic art education its reallly hard to pursue practises by urself coz u r ur own teacher .
