If you have to the row solid mettle to make thin sheet and after put nitric acid. You will get 99.90 % gold

Thank you for the sub! I use a cheap rothenberger torch, propan-butan ok, I use it too, but I prefer the maxigas 400 (aceton,pentan,propan,n-butan,isobutan) burn much hotter.

Mapp, or oxyacetylene, propane uses too much oxygen too be practical, expect this melt was so small I’d imagine a propane with a a Smith mini torch or Hoke.

The gas and time to make a tiny pellet seems overkill. I wouldn’t waste those resources or time for less than an ounce. But nice vid.

I have time, and 2 buck worth of gas not much to me. 🤷♂️ and first of all this is a hobby of mine.
