Ted is one of the most criticized referees in MLS but this video brings to light many of the split-second decisions he must make to keep the game fair. From interviews and articles he’s written it’s clear he cares deeply about the players and the game. Bravo!

I’m not sure about any other sports but this is very common verbal abuse from players towards refs, and in lower leagues would get some people sent off, but it’s very common. 4:33 and 4:51 is a perfect example of a player got fouled so he complains, but the ref simply didn't see it because Nketiah was in his line of sight for that split second. @@OMGitsjustperfect I understand its a friendly but as soon as you become too lenient with cards and enforcing fouls players start testing the limits and going for dirtier tackles. I can see why the players were frustrated by VAR in a friendly, but it's worth it when you're recording body cam to give people the refs perspective on those types of situations. @milktea2422

@@bofallhihaj4745more like the All star game doesn’t translate well for how they do it. In other American sports like the MLB, NBA and NHL the all star games are usually two captains from the two best players of the season, and they pick players from other teams and play against each other, so they all haven’t really played with each other and it’s more fair. In the MLS they pick the best players then play against arsenal of all teams. That’s stupid, inter Miami probably would’ve put up a better fight if it was just them. There’s talented players in the MLS, like top scorers in the top 5 league top players, they just do a stupid game where they take a bunch of players who probably haven’t played with each other besides maybe one or two and put them up against a team that has been playing years together or at least one season.
