Reeling in 13 tons of Blue Marlin in 7 Days! (Azores, Leg 6, Trip 2.2)

Спорт

Join the team for part 2 of their incredible record breaking fishing trip in Azores, Portugal. This portion kicks off on day 4 of their 12 day trip to Faial Island. The fishing is as good as it gets, with the boys already landing 20+ blue Marlin in 3 days with multiple fish over the 700 pound mark.
Day 4 and 5 are no different than the previous and are filled with blue Marlin mayhem from start to finish. The team prepares for a break as a big storm rolls in, keeping them stuck at the dock for several days. Chomping at the bit to get back on the water they decide to battle the weather in an attempt to not miss the bite of a lifetime.
The historical bite continues with big swells and big fish. The team is on cloud 9 over the next few days until an unexpected motor issue arises and the trip takes a turn for the worse…

    Merry Christmas Bad Co!!!! The literal biomass of fish that must be there would probably be startling!! Great to see fish of that caliber. Looked like he had his eye on that Amaral plunger 😂

    Awesome!!!! That's mind blowing! Really special!! Looks like you had really calm light to no wind and glassy conditions , which makes it so nice. Yeah it's amazing how marlin will suddenly appear in an area and then the bite wil go oiff for several days and get really hot!! Along the kona coast in Hawaii its really awesome how lots of boats, depending on the current and direction will be hooking up for miles along the coasts deep drop offs for days it will just turn on and get really hot!! And sometimes they're small to medium size, but in kona it can be all mostly big 500-800+ lb. Big blue marlin!! But one boat in your case, catching those kind of numbers in one day is just crazy!! That's truly special! I auspect other boats out were getting multiple ig ones a day to in a hot bite like that!!! You guys scored!! That's rare!! Awesome guys!! Place is legendary!! Aloha D.L.

    In a way I am glad Anthoney has not yet caught a Grander yet. It would have taken so much from the adventure if the goal was reached at the beginning. Looking back one day the adventure would be the prize not the size of the fish.

    I am absolutely addicted to this channel and the story of Anthony. What an amazing experience to live. I wonder what the dollar amount is per fish to run that kind of operation though?

    The sheer tonnage of fish is just ridiculous…it’s a shame the engine issues cut your trip short.

    Perhaps a back up sport boat (second) with a similar sonar set up, would or could have crushed that story even deeper record..

  • @TeamBadCo

    @TeamBadCo

    Exactly… and we had that backup boat in the LH33, but we made the decision to retire the 150 so did not have it at Azores. It went to Florida after Cape Verde. Wrong decison. Otherwide we should have kept fishing on the 33 which is sonar equipped.

    Great show and major thanks to your team BADCO to accomplish this feat of catching Worldwide, along with all the logistics involved is unbelievable. Also, to care to get it documented on video, and with all the special editing to show the good, and not so good, is very helpful to us here in the Tube. Cheers JRjr.
