Reelfoot Lake State Park Wildlife Boat Tour - The Lake Made by an Earthquake - Tiptonville Tennessee

This Adventure is on the vast Reelfoot Lake formed by a series of earthquakes from 1811 through 1812 which caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards. Located near Tiptonville Tennessee, the tour is one hour and visitors are treated to a very beautiful and relaxing ride on a pontoon boat. Wildlife is abundant on the lake. You will enjoy seeing the Bald Eagles, Cranes, Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Turtles, Mallard Ducks and Fish galore. Reelfoot Lake is a Hunters and Fishermans Paradise. The lake covers some 27 thousand acres and is 5 mile wide 14 miles long.
The visitors center has displays of the different animals found in or around the lake. On the grounds there are beautiful raised walkways to enjoy a stroll by the lake or through the swamp areas where you will see 200 year old Bald Cypress trees. There are also rescued Eagles, Hawkes and Owls in safe enclosure to view up close.

I loved it when I went. I loved even more the small town of Tiptonville. Def a one horse town, but a good sense of community.

Dave, you made a fantastic video of Tennessee's largest natural lake! 👌 We do need to brush you up on your wildlife identification skills though. Barn owl, Bared owl, Osprey. It's easy to take for granted a place you've spent many days on and around, thanks for showcasing it to the world. I'm hoping you enjoyed your adventures in the Tennessee flat lands, and you really should come back to the lake in late December or January and witness a completely changed landscape. 😉 Keep up the good work. 👍

I enjoyed the video but the birds in the nest were Osprey and not Bald Eagles.
