In 1953 I was 13 years old and in that year the Globetrotters came to my city Mar del Plata, Argentina. In that period I was at the school and one of the themes was English but basic. I went to the old Estadio Bristol where the Trotters where performing. After the game I was soo lucky to met Reece Tatum and others members of the team. With my broken english I invited to Tatum and other player to show them part of my city and we walked to the sea side . Today I am 82 years old and I still remember the goodwill showed by them to walk with me and full up my heart of joy and today I can say I have been walking with legens of the Harlem Globe Trotters.
Harlem Globetrotters were Magical!
It unquestionably, undoubtedly, unbelievably incriminating to have the Goose and Marques to wait so long to be inducted into the International Basketball Hall of Fame.
I always come back to this speech. Its probably the best HOF speech I have ever heard.

This is THE story in the NBA's history and America's history: RACE. AMERICA is the anagram: I AM RACE. In 2013 with all the dysfunction and chaos in American society, videos like these are uplifting because they show that wrongs can be somewhat addressed if not corrected. This is good and whether we realize it helps a rapidly failing USA. KUDOS to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Thank-you OfficialHoophall for this upload.
It's so hard to find any "ESPN films presents" video, at least I got to watch the speech again, but curse you ESPN for making it so hard to watch or find these documentaries.
Best ever❤
The reason why the golbe trotters where so good is that they use to have endless selection of the best black players in the country to play basketball for them
I love u uncle GOOSE
Reece goose was the man who created the dunk and invented the dunks Rest In Peace legends
I always liked Marques Haynes (those of you of a certain age may remember his catch phrase, "Here's Marques Haynes to show you how" before doing his fantastic dribbling), but the above story makes him a REAL HERO in my book. My Dad loved Goose Tatum and told me wonderful tales of his antics on the court and baseball field. Rodman and others of this generation can LEARN from class acts from men as these.
