Reducing my screen time to 30 minutes a day (help)

100 days a year, 6 to 7 hours a day. That's how much time I spend on my phone. Time to reduce my screen time, drastically. Follow along as I tackle my phone addiction by reducing my screen time to 30 minutes a day, for one week long. Was it worth it? Would I recommend it? Watch to find out :)
Video idea inspired by Michelle Gia :) Check out her video here: • reducing my screen-tim...

Hi Vera, your video got recommend to me and hence, I watched it and really enjoyed it. You're very natural and seem authentic. I like that. I decided to start the challenge myself but I reduce screen time to 45 minutes per day because I need the phone for work and excluding 1 hour for running. Sometimes I like to listen to a guided run on Nike Running App, which by the way got me started with a healthy and fun running practice. I've been running for the past two years and utterly love it. My recommendation to all of you out there: running without music. Instead listening and practicing with your breathing and feeling your body. Thank you for the video :)

Hi Very, thank you for your reply. Actually, I feel like in this hyper-self-optimisation-delirium, having fun should be priority. I don't mean to brag but what served me wonders was to stop when I love it most. For instance, when I started running, I always stopped after 30-35 minutes even though I could have ran much further. Instead I went again the next day for another 30 minutes. Same with studying a new language or adopting any other newly desired habit, I would stop before I would wear me out and therefore trigger something in my brain that aspires to do it again. I know it sounds weird, why stop right in the middle, right? Obviously this is not necessary with everything we adopt, but especially with actions that seem more challenging at first. Good luck with your channel! Thank you for letting me share this insight, perhaps, it will inspire you as well :) Love to wherever you're about!

@@verapebbles thank you! Yes I definitely need to do it. Just this morning alone I have spent almost 2 hours on this thing and I keep telling myself put it down and clean! It takes so much discipline! I need to make a schedule to force myself into it ❤️🥰 thank you for the encouragement

To anyone thinking shrinking down to two hours a day is not enough: Fuck that sentiment! You'd basically more than half down the entire time you spend on the platform and you can learn to space the scrolling throughout the dayand then shorten it down a bit more bit by bit and actually stick to it

I cannot get myself interested in tiktok (i'm belgian and the belgian /french stuff the algorithm proposes bore me to death) at first i felt like i was missing something and then i realized i get the same doomscrolling vibes from KZread shorts, the culturally significant things get talked about on KZread only a bit later (we care so much on the new-ness of trends it kinda makes me want to throw up and even by being 6months late on mist of those i'm even faster to pick up on them than most fashionable people i know and i still feel like actual fashion - mostly in hairstyling - is going at a glacial pace) and, i won't have to get off the platform... I just have to stop spe up to ten hours each day on KZread... (Surprisingly it's harder than quitting porn, and doing that made me realize how much sexuality is shoved down our throats everyday, what a fun time for those ace people i assume)

tiktok, youtube shorts, reels... it's all the same in the end. Especially since so much stuff gets reposted as well on these platforms, I feel like many people have at least 1 platform they're having trouble stepping away from

i found all of the anguish i stumble across this platform where everyone has a strong opinion on absolutly everything is kinda getting to me and i'm more unhappy than necessary. Also i want to juggle between so many things and interests so i might as well take a step back and whenever i dont drwn myself in struggling causes i close myself into a realm of aspirations i won't achieve or can't quite achieve now
