Absolutely gorgeous. All that beautiful woodwork does give it a feeling of top-end luxury yacht. As mentioned, solar panels would be the only thing I could even imagine wanting to add, as she looks to be turnkey ready. Definitely a fantastic liveaboard. Thanks for the video.

Hey Manuel, great to hear from you again. Unfortunately, this one is too tall for the loop. You need to be 19ft tall or less to make it under a bridge near Chicago. This one would be great for running up the east coast to New York and Maine, or heading south to the Florida Keys and Carribean islands 🤠

She's a fantastic liveaboard cruiser. I filmed a 53ft DeFever with near identical layout last weekend. Was hoping to pop the video by now but darn flu has stolen my voice. When the video does go live, I think you're going to enjoy that one too 🤠

I am the first to admit that $800k is a lot of money in general, but I think this one offers great value for money. At face value, I don't see anything that requires urgent repairs or upgrades etc. You could fill the tanks, the fridge, bring on your belongings, and set sail in no time at all. A similar new build would probably cost you the best part of $5m, not to mention 1 - 2 years waiting period from order till delivery.

This is my kind of boat if I had the time and money. I love trawlers the most out of all my reviews. Glad you enjoyed it. Oh and for what it's worth, it has to be below freezing with the risk of snow this weekend here in Jacksonville, Florida!! I thought when I left Scotland the only ice I would encounter was in my drink 🤪

The GRAND ALASKAN is a great boat. I don't like the extra bunks in the Master. If they're old enough to Not be in a crib, they're old enough to be in their own stateroom. Your videos though, this one included, are Always enjoyable !!

Thanks! I like the fact the beds can be used as storage or decoration too. If it was my boat, those beds would only be used on an emergency but handy to have extra space when needed.

For a 65 footer, Where is the Solon ?! Nowhere to sit comfortably with family and friends Without a "Dining" table in the middle of the room ! Beautiful boat !! Lousy Design !! But, I STILL enjoy your video tours !!

Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it. At face value, this one has a fantastic build quality which is something that can't be said for all trawlers. This might not have the range to sail the world's oceans, but she was never meant for this. She would great as a liveaboard cruising the Carribean Islands, or cruising from New York to Florida etc. I'm supposed to be getting another similar trawler to review in a few weeks I think you will like as well 😉

Yikes, wasn't this one. I'm not aware of this one ever having any major structural damage like that, let alone recently.

Hi there. I really enjoy your review videos especially the trawlers. If I may (being a fellow KZreadr and editor). If you are going to slo-mo you videos you need to increase the frame rate on on your camera. This will smooth out your videos. cheers 👍🇨🇦

Thanks again for the feedback. I was checking out my camera settings and it was 4k 30fps, but I now have it at 4k 60fps. It will be a while before new videos make it onto my channel since I have such a backlog already staged, but filming at the boat shows this month will have the faster rate for hopefully smoother slo-mo.

@@GarnockReviews You are very welcome. We content creators have to help each other out where possible. Sixty will give you much more flexibility in post production. I have also found that I have to be cognizant with the speed of panning the camera to get smooth shots. This would be pertinent in the types of videos you do. 👍🇨🇦.

Not exactly a passage maker. But fine costal cruiser.

As far as I know, this one is still for sale. Best bet is to reach out to the broker if you are serious. Contact info fir broker is within the 1st minute of the video 😉

Not too shabby, but the range at 8-10 knots is far less than I would expect for a yacht of this size and design.

I can't say for sure on this one, but on some of the new boats designed like this, the fuel was cut on purpose. That extra fuel takes up both weight and space. If you aren't planning on ocean voyages, chances are you don't need more than a couple hundred miles range to enjoy it. 😉
