She would be perfect for a couple doing that sort of cruising. Easy to handle and at much lower running costs than some other boats I've featured 😉

Gorgeous and great use of space on a “smaller” boat. The large cockpit and island berth are especially nice surprises.

Some people will not like that it only has 1 cabin. I personally think each area benefits from only factoring in 1 cabin and is proportioned better. Open plan saloon, galley and helm is much bigger than I expected, and I love that aft cockpit. If there were 2 cabins, these areas would all be smaller.

@@GarnockReviews I tell myself I need a 42 footer at least but at this price it’s really hard to argue when the layout would suit us two empty-nesters so well.

Great bargain in a really bristol little yacht. What a terrific package. In a perfect world she’d have twin diesels for safety at sea but otherwise there are no red flags. As always superb review… thanks!

Hi Garnock reviews, That is a nice looking trawler this Integrity 346 ES i like the storage in the galley what open from the bottom instead the front with a good engine a Yanmar but a upgrade this trawler need is double glass then you don;t have the condensation thanks again a great show

She's a long way from home. As said in the video, Integrity is an Australian company based on the Gold Coast just south of Brisbane but they have Australian marine surveyors in the factory in China all the time. Integrity boats are designed for Australian conditions and coastal cruising in tropical and sub-tropical areas, hence the large aft cockpit for outdoors lounging - Brisbane to the Whitsunday Islands in the Great Barrier Reef is about the same distance as Charleston, SC to Nassau, Bahamas. There are some comments about 'Chinese quality' here but some of the best quality yachts are built in China these days. The Integrity factory is almost next door to Sea Ray in Guangzhou just across from Hong Kong. Then you have Flemings built in Taiwan and Grand Banks in Malaysia. Integrity have a great reputation for quality of build and fitout. P.S. - I am not associated with the company but I was a part owner of a 44' Sedan many years ago and I will probably buy another in the near future.

Thank you for such a detailed response. I also agree that a lot of good boats come from Asia and also Turkey. Nordhavn is another for the list that has superior quality but isn't built in US or Europe etc.

What a sparkling and impressive mid-30's trawler! I kept waiting to learn the cause of what I thought was a soft price...but never saw it. Tankage was especially impressive. What a treat it would be spend the summer in/around the Chesapeake Bay on this boat, and then saunter down to Elizabeth Harbor on Great Exuma for the winter. Mark will not be offering this very long, I'm thinking. And nice review, Garnock. Any idea on air draft?

Thanks, Jack. I'm just guessing here, but I'm thinking around 14 feet or so. The fact that those Bimini tops and radar frame drops, air draft really shouldn't be an issue. She would be perfect for that sort of all year cruising, and without breaking the bank in the process 😉

​@@sarahmcenhill'Ocean crossing'? I'm afraid not, Sarah. That 13' beam and small'ish 4JH Yanmar could provide the comfortable range needed to work her down to the Caribbean via T&C, DR and PR. But only on the softer Caribbean weather days given her hull form, displacement and limited power.

Great layout and use of space. I was really liking ... alas, a wet head ... argh. 🙂

Jekkyll Island at 8:47. thanks "prince of peace" Wilson for getting the US into ww1, IRS and the Fed. this is a fav of mine of all your posts. so much room for 36', richness and quality. only problem on live aboard is min fridge (but you could add) and the wet head.

Well that answers the question about where the Island Gypsy moulds went.

I used to know of several commercial workboats and pilotboats that sold their moulds and would be back on the market as a new name. I didn't realize it happened with the yacht market until recently too.

I'm surprised it was built in china they have a notorious reputation of building cheap mas production but the wood work finish and general layout look's great I'm in south Florida the salt water hell on boats it was taken good care of new subscriber

Made in China usually makes me cautious too, but ironically, they have quite a good reputation in boat building. A number of high-end super yachts and sailboats have been built there.

A very nice well kept boat I'm looking for a trawler but I need something that's set up for liverboard which this one is not due to the size of the refrigerator and the sink I guess you could add that stuff on but indeed she's a very nice sound vessel.

I’m guessing there is no air conditioning. I suppose you could rig something up for the stateroom. Her top speed should be around 10 knots and she’s sipping fuel at 6 knots, maybe as little as 3 liters an hour.

Hey Anthony, I don't recall the exact spec off hand, but this one is fully air conditioned. The entire boat was nice and cool when I was onboard filming.

If you look at the helm and in front of the gauges you will see a rectangular wooden box with a vent that usually indicates you have built-in air conditioning and there are different names but it might be a cruise air, but that's how you can tell sometimes you're built into the wall sometimes they're down on the floor. that's just little bit of boat education for you ,Hope it helps. 🙂

I'm guessing it cruises around 7knts with that little engine?

Fortunately, most marinas have great shower facilities. I'd be curious how many people actually use a shower on a boat like this on a regular basis vs an occasional shower at anchor etc.

On our Catalina 36 we used the wet head maybe 2 times in 6 years living aboard. When at Catalina Island all summer we used the ocean and swimstep shower. When in Mexico we did the same thing. But when in the marina we used the marina bathrooms so we wouldn't need a pump out service. We will be in the market for a trawler in the future and this one is perfect! When cruising Mexico most of the fleet is over 40 feet, so to have something smaller it's easier to get a slip.

If it is actually built in China, it would be a good idea to check for formaldehyde contamination

Any formaldehyde use in the manufacture of this vessel has long ago gassed out. There is absolutely no risk of contamination. Would I want to spend a month in this boat two weeks after it was built? Probably not. However after fifteen years there is zero risk.
