Hi Coach Donny, My shoulder hurts while spiking. I have no tear or dislocation. Doc told me that I stretched my front shoulder muscle too much. I know this comes from improper spiking Technic. I watched your video on how to properly spike the ball. while I'm learning that and strengthen my shoulder muscle. what shoulder support braces Do you recommend while playing? I used to use tape but that is not helping much. and again thank you for awesome videos. I'm learning so much from you.

Hey Donny, I have been struggling with a shoulder injury occurred during a sand volleyball game for 6 months now. I laid out for a pancake and landed with my shoulder over extending. I would expect my poor posture (from working on a computer) to be a big reason for tight shoulders and thus my shoulders not being able to handle the impact. Intermittent rest and than playing hasn't been working. My question is which exercises will be best for this type of injury. It seems to be the muscles at the corner of the armpit where the shoulder and arm meet. I have been trying to do some pendulum swings and some bent elbow raises above my head. It seems to be working but very slowly. Any idea how long it will take to be able to play again. I have been dying to play again but haven't given adequate rest and reversing gains too frequently. If you've made it this far thank you so much and I look forward to any advice! Love and light from Raleigh, NC. I hope I can get back out to the courts much sooner than later.. I have dreams to make it to the olympics 2020 in tokyo. We have to dream big! :)

Hi Donny - Any tips for an easier YTWL exercise or a beginner version, as I can't raise my weak side that far (right side), even without weights? I'm trying to use a theraband tube to assist that side but it's still difficult. I have reached trigger points in the upper back which has helped ease tension along the inside of the arm. I just found this article where this exercise is done unilaterally: www.mikereinold.com/why-i-do-not-like-ytwl-shoulder-exercises/
