Reduce Scraps, Create Masterboards

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In the constant battle to control scraps there are many solutions but one of my favourites is to turn them into master boards, a resource for future projects.
This video is a follow up showing how I utilised the scrapbook which I found in a charity shop for £3.
Funnily enough it turns out my friend Nicole from Relax Cut Glue also had the same idea and we both launched videos on the same day, check Nicole’s video out here • Masterboard Glue Book!...

You are newly found to me in the past month or so. I wasn’t sure my “style” matched yours, but as you have told us, do what works for you. I have made sticker pages and used them to make some tags and made the accordion folder which now stores the background I want to use next for making cards. I have learned so much from your videos and watch them start to finish. There are always bits that I glean and then take to my craft room. Thank you so very much!

Ceri I just want to say that you have taken all the bits and pieces from various things that don't look like much but after all the layering it becomes something that is very appealing that is now useable for other projects. I have always liked the layered look you create with your Masterboards but after following you and watching how you get those pieces from so many things and make them into something useful and in time you get those things and create something that looks so good. You broke it down and made it easy to follow and you are a true inspiration. Congratulations on your relaunch of your book and molds. This was another great video and so enjoyable to watch. Always a pleasure to watch you create! For the “ends of the washi” - I use tiny paperclips 🖇️ under the edge (not clipped, just setting under the edge, so I can find the end and lift easily. I do that for all kinds tapes.

I just discovered your channel and thus far have enjoyed your relaxed and genuine conversational style. Honestly, I can relate to so many things you describe about yourself and your art style, i.e. "not one to sit around (you took your art journal to Alaska) I am the same, I like to be busy/productive, liking things to line up horizontal or vertical (this is so my style), describing how the scrap pile can get out of hand (so true). I am definitely going to tackle a masterboard like this. I did one with scrap fabric and lace recently and it turned out so well. So fun. You seem like a genuinely nice kind person and I look forward to more of your art videos. I'm not super big into "mixed media" but I understand the appeal-maybe I become a convert! :) I pray you have the best day ever!

I love this page. I`ve never done one myself. I`m a cardmaker, not a scrapbooker, and I don`t have such fancy scraps. However, you always inspire me to create something similar. Thank you, Ceri! I absolutely adore your videos :)

I totally get the early jump on Christmas being waaaay to early, but...as a crafter I need to start waaaay early to get things done in time. So, I plan on doing a masterboard using a Christmas theme/colors. Love your masterboard Ceri. I could sit and watch you do this stuff for hours. TFS Congrats on the the re-launch of your book and molds.😊

Oh, and I forgot: I have exactly the way of treating washi tape. I also always use some glucose sticker down, I always cut the end straight and I have three boxes, especially for washing tape where I could colour code store them. it’s brilliant for. I got it over Amazon many years ago. Honestly, you would be my perfect crafting partner LOL

I'm fine watching a process video that is done end to end. I have to agree, I don't always like to see a sped up video. I watch videos because I want to see the way you folks do things. Sped up, we may totally miss something that we might find helpful. I do have favorite folks that do occasionally speed up, but then, I'll just put my volume down. With the CC on, I can tell when they are speaking again, so I'll turn up the volume again. But then, my favorites don't tend to replay the same single or two over and over, they have a good selection. What boggles my mind is how folks will tell you how You should do Your videos.😏. I'm happy to have You do You. We can decide if we have time to watch the whole show. And, I can always watch the rest later, while cuddling with our furbabies.😊

Cheers on the relaunch of your cake book! Enjoy the heck out of the meet and greet. You cake will be awesome. And as always, this project master board is terrific. The few I have done are always too bland. The ones sitting and waiting, I think I just need to strategically slap transparent paints on them. 😅 Thank you for sharing😊
