Etho's version of efficient involves subtlety and lack of complexity. Doc's version sacrificed subtle to a Swamp Elder God, visually comes with a metal soundtrack, and maximizes efficiency through integrated automation!

    I think for the redstone block datapack, it makes sense. Instead, you could be warned irl that the server is gonna restart, log in, and turn off a bunch of farms and fancy redstones. It's more of a comfort feature than a cheating feature IMO

  • @scratchfisch6425

    @scratchfisch6425

    Ай бұрын

    Yeah, for me, server restarts are not "intended" or a "feature" you have to work around, but more something you do to fix some bugs / improve server performance. If server performance wouldn't go to shit if the server is running for too long, it wouldn't be needed. But if Doc likes the challenge of working around server restarts, and doesn't mind either logging in before each scheduled server restart or occasionally fixing stuff that broke during a server restart, that is obviously totally fine.

    I have three ships in mind: 1. Battlestar Galactica, 2. Battleship Yamato, and 3. the first ships from Star Wars a new Hope. OK not the first one, but THAT one. LOVED the tutorial. This one also helped explain all those doors I keep seeing in the bigger builds. If cub puts trails at one diamond to three diamonds per firework, cub gave you such a deep discount. Most fireworks components are cheap but the trails affect costs a diamond for each color set it’s applied to. If he wasn’t making money hand over fist with the horns, he couldn’t afford to enjoy his fireworks so much. I like the idea of the ribbon-cutting being a tripwire that starts the firework. Of course, breaking the top of a wall in front of the shop could do it too. Everyone thinks you’ve moved your operation to above ground. I was listening; you’re just saving the below, ground stuff and the flying destruction machines for later.

    I’m not a quick artist, but those that do Doc’s thumbnails, you all should do the one for next episode with Doc looking like a nerdy teacher; glasses, pocket protector, lab coat (of course), etc, and have him teaching a class of small children-like hermits, redstone.❤❤❤❤ I would kill to see that image. Just some chibi hermits ideas: I could see Scar playing with toy animals, Pearl taking notes and trying to soak it all up (like the sun lol), stress trying to tame a stray cat, etho and tango using small redstone pieces to make machines to fling spitballs at each other, gem staring at the class’ fish tank, grian trying to fish in the fish tank, Cleo playing with one of those wooden art doll figurines (like an armor stand), mumbo playing with a ball on a string (like his base), Joel writing love notes (to his wife obviously) in Japanese kanji, skizz playing with a pyramid puzzle, ren trying to communicate to gigacorp, Iskall burning mini diorite blocks, false’s backpack leaking water, cub drawing fireworks on paper, wels playing with lego bricks making a castle, beef resting with his feet on his desk and a wheat piece hanging out his mouth and a farmer straw hat drooped over his eyes Im sure there is more I’m just drawing a blank 😅

    18:15 - that actually a good idea... you should style it to look something like the ba-sing-se drill from Avatar the Last Airbender Like an unstoppable feat of engineering that farms the landscape for resources, then neatly and efficiently stores it within. THE DRILL PROVIDES! ALL BOW BEFORE THE GREAT DRILL!

    A few episodes ago a comment said doc is the only person who can make them understand redstone. And this episode truly proves that is a common experience cause anyone else I wouldn’t have understood a THING. Doc has an incredible way of explaining things that even my redstone knowledge lacking brain can still understand it.

    I like how everyone in comparison to doc has done little to nothing. Doc has already made some of the most insane farms and the largest shop on the server. It makes you wonder when doc sleeps.😂

    Don't know about that, Joe has razed entire mountain ranges and Tango has a factory that automates making all the redstone components from source materials. Grian fished a mending book.

    I really wish Minecraft had different coloured lamps. The Redstone and farms look so cool at night time but if it had red, blue, purple and green lights scattered around the floating portions of the base that would look really cool (SIPSCO factory style). I also actually really like the Deepslate Diamond Ore everywhere, blue is such a rare colour to see in bases. Also from a distance it looks like it has a lot of detail even though it's just one block. It all melds together as well, so it adds a rustic look to the hyper precise redstoning that it's a part of.

    Hey Doc, I love your crazy redstone contraptions! A minor improvement to your charcoal maker at 44:53, you could put 4 non-fuel items in 4 of the slots for each of the furnace-fueling hoppers to reduce the amount of buffer charcoal that you need since hoppers can't push non-fuel items into the fuel slot of a furnace 😎
