I think for the little nook area, hanging a long horizontal mirror or multiple ones would make the space seem used but not cluttered; since it would make it look more open. Maybe one with a gold trim would match the vibe of your room.

The room was cleaned up nicely. Great room with lots of potential. Looks quite spacious. I think it lacks color. Kind of gives me a vibe of a hospital room back in the day and the doctor is going to give you a lobotomy and you don’t need one. Katie Donnelly recently decorated her room and I think you should take some inspiration from her and Jill. They have a knack for bringing spaces Alive. Your room needs artwork, pops of color here and there, and a rhythm for where your bed and furniture are positioned. I look forward to see what you do with it.

You should get a fluffy rug for the blank floor space, and a tapestry for the couch area, you could probably find a site to customize one with pictures you like or a blown up frame but I know those are usually pretty expensive
