You have a mi 10 pro with 108 mp camera According to Android centeral Samsung using pixel binning over 9 to 12 mp Is this right?

The video is very helpful because both the phones have similar prices. I knew the Poco X2 is more powerful than the Note 9 Pro Max but I needed to know more about the cameras. I feel the images from the X2's Sony sensor are more suited to my taste because of the warmer tones. I couldn't help but notice the cool tint in each of the images from the Samsung sensor specially in low light. They just looked unnatural to me. The images from the X2 had more contrast too and the skin tone looked better. I personally don't feel sharpness is an issue because we don't normally zoom in to check and anyway the pictures we take are for social media which compresses the files. In the video department, I prefer the X2 because of the EIS and the natural warm look. I completely agree that depth sensors are needless and a gimmick for sales. Good softwares can easily blur out the backgrounds. I would have preferred a telephoto lens at the back in its place and a single lens on the front for more real estate for the notification panel. Again, thank you for the comparison. I am sure this video helped a lot of people looking to choose between the phones like me.

Actually Redmi note 9 pro max is producing better images in most of the situations. Becouse poco is slightly inclined to warm colours, over sharpening pictures, and overexposed in some rare conditions. Oh and over saturated also. And video is also a bit warm in poco x2. And front camera is definitely better in 9pro max. But I have a question. Which loud speaker is best among these ? R9pro max or poco x2 ? Please let me know . And also give your opinion about my thoughts on camera quality.

I don't know how people use their phones, but I am careful with mine and I haven't seen dust or anything on the camera lenses accumulate on any of my phones in the last 14 years.

@Gaurav Patel Don't get panic dear... You have asked this question on almost everyone's comment 🙂 I could see you are more prone to go for poco X2 or x3, then go for it... Why getting confused?? It's 9pro max around a month it seems with me, no issues I have noticed.. no dust in camera lens.. again as said, it depends on the usage.. Suggest you to buy walking into any MI store. Most (not all) of the flipkart and Amazon purchases are defective..

Great camera review. I wish camera reviewers would also upload their high-res still photos on a photo-sharing website as some international reviewrs do. Also, I wish you had covered the pro-mode as well :-). The magic of slow shutter, lower ISO (which is what night mode uses, but then with greater control), can help get around some of the remaining challenges to an extent. Few observations: - Poco X2's edge detection doesn't seem to be as good (and natural) as Redmi Note 9 pro max's. From the portrait mode images of the ladies, you pay close attention to the strands of hair that hang loose, and you see that X2 is unnaturally dissolving most of them using edge blurring, while Note 9 pro's are lot sharper. - Poco X2's all-round "warm colors" become a bit jarring beyond a certain point. - Poco X2's telephoto lens output is nicer to look at. - Front camera of Note 9 pro max, seems better and completely agree that the software based edge-detection seems better. - Low light is where Poco X2 seems to come out better in all aspects. I think both cameras have pro-mode. - Poco X2's EIS is pretty good and remarkable. Surprising that Note 9 pro max misses it. Also the fact that Note 9 pro max has the 240fps bug is a bummer. Would've been nicer if you'd including 960fps as well, and also slow-mo in low-light (this is what kicks the cameras in their belly in most mid-range phones, but since both have competing sensors, would've been nice to see) Not sure if there is a way to tone down the saturation and warmth of Poco's still cameras. Not sure if Google Camera can fix many of the shortcomings on either phone and making it a more level playing field. In this crazy mega-pixel race, many forget that there's only so much that the sensor quality will get you. In the end, quality of glass lens, and aperture (apart from OIS) play a huge role, but then we are no longer in mid-range phone territory !

If you take lot of videos then go with POCO, you can edit the slight warm tones if you don't like it. Honestly, if you don't compare side by side, you won't notice the tint.

They can easily fix it with software update. I have got 2 updates on the Note 9 Pro Max since I purchased it, but this issue has not yet been fixed.

@@Unplanned_with_Aditi redmi and poco has much similarity since they both are under xiaomi, i don't feel you will feel unfamiliar when you switch from redmi to poco, and yes don't forget poco has 120hz smoother display & SONY IMX686 sensor which will give you best user-experience it has also HDR10 support which note 9 pro max doesn't. At the end both phones are pretty much good, i'm also planning to buy poco x2 but i'm little bit worried about it's battery drainage problem, Hopefully poco team will resolve that issue after OTA update.

Ya, since a couple of updates they have started adding more sharpness in indoor images. Haven’t have this issue in outdoor shots (at least not too noticeable)

Note 9 pro samsung sensor with this year's snapdragon 720g and better image signal processor Poco x2 with sony sensor with last years snapdragon 730g and slightly old image signal processor,but as far as 240 fps slow motion is taken into account poco was launched in feb and redmi note 9 pro max was launched in march during covid so there are lesser software updates compared to poco x2 will be solved soon

I've bought a refurbished Pixel XL at 12000 rupees. It's a single 12MP camera, but still many 48, 64, 108MP can't beat it's camera. Oppo/Vivo/Xiaomi are so far, even it is better than OnePlus 5 & 6 series. I couldn't compared it with OnePlus 7 & 8 series.

I am glad you are enjoying it. Ya the refresh rate game is just a marketing thing and doesn't really make a huge difference in everyday usage.

The color science in both the phones look identical. Either we can opt poco or pro max, but apart from camera performance wise poco is still gripping better

@@mohdsami5048 it's average not amazing..🤗 because I'm a heavy user & if I'll play pubg (smooth extreme) more than 2 hours then I've to re-charge it around 8'0 clock(p.m).. that's not any big issue because of 27w blazing fast charging.. In 1 hr of continuous pubg gameplay it drains about 20-22%..😍 For amazing battery backup you should go for 9 pro max or moto 1 fusion+😄 Sorry for my bad English.. I'm still learning..😅

@@Unplanned_with_Aditi If you are focusing on better performance and camera quality you can choose Poco X2 and if you are focusing good battery life, without any doubt you can opt Redmi note 9 pro. Am using Poco X2. It gives a beast performance.Camera quality and 120 refresh rate is the main 2 features.Comparing with Redmi it have low battery performance,but the battery drainage problem can be solve by an update by Poco. Poco 🔥

9 pro max is good for selfie and the picture from rare cameras are also better than poco. But for 4k video poco gives better video with stabilization.. Display of poco is brighter than note 9 pro max. Battery of Redmi is also better than poco..
