No! You don't need any permission but you will get a waiting period(7 - 14 days) depending on your account.

Yes. You have to wait. After that, You can unlock the bootloader easily. You get waiting period on all Xiaomi device because of security.

I think you cannot change the SIM because when you put a SIM, it says activating the SIM. If you will remove the SIM then it will disable the Mi Account. But if changing the SIM is necessary for you then you can try ii.

Have you checked the device manager? If the driver isn't installed properly you will see a yellow exclamation mark over the driver's name.

@@ShopAbroad I got the error:FAILED(remote: not allowed in locked state) error I tryed to unlock with mi unlocker and it say I need to add acount to mi unlock status I tryed to unlock with minimal adb fastboot commands and I got the :failed (status read failed (too many links)) error

It's because of security. You cannot unlock any Xiaomi smartphone without waiting.

Had the same issue and i solved it by Logging out & loging back in with the register button, which used my phone number to create a new account. Might help you too

No. China ROM variant have different system than Global and other variant. If you try to do this your phone will bootloop or bricked.

Create an adb folder directly in the 'C' Drive then try again. Sometimes, you get this error if the path of ADB folder is very long.

Lock sign means bootloader is locked. Amd I am not sure about switch off problem, you can try to boot in fastboot using command.

@@ShopAbroad i get to this point at 4:03 , however it only reaches 99% and does not complete "Unlocking". So Unlocking is unsuccessful. It doesn't give a reason, and there is it doesn't tell me to wait or anything.
