The design is beautiful. Bezels are very minimal!

Looks wise, the Note 12 Turbo looks better than the K60. I'm excited for its global release as the Poco F5. The 7+ Gen 2 also looks to be a very compelling processor.

@@N20Ultra Latest news suggests the F5 pro is to be released with the base 8 gen 1, inferior to the 7+ gen 2. And the F5 pro is rumoured to be completely inferior to the K60. Along with the older 8 gen 1 notorious for thermal throttling, it's coming with a smaller 5160mAh battery and no wireless charging. Guess latest news was wrong

It's not about screen size, it's about "from factor" is Xiaomi build to make really good to "hand held", screen stretch of all to outside n bleze make really teen

Nice unboxing. It's a nice phone for the price but I think the Realme gt neo5 se has a better screen for the same price and better battery life. At least Redmi gives OIS though and a very advanced 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, this time they have 4k eis at 30fps unlike the Redmi note 12 pro and pro+ which have no electronic stabilization at 4k. I tried the camera against the Redmi k60 though and even though the sensor is the same the optimisation on the Redmi k60 seems a lot better to me

hi, do you happen to know if the 红米note 12 turbo or K60 bought in china will be region locked outside of china similar to how the one plus 11 (CN version) no longer works for making or receiving calls after 2 weeks of being abroad? I'm considering picking up a new phone while I'm in CN, but I don't know if it's worth the hassle if I run into region locking since not being able to use it in europe is a deal breaker for me. 7+Gen 2 work wonders for for redmi note 12turbo but again Xiaomi restricting the full potential of the soc like 4k 60 HDR recoding and true'depth effect and so on.

Mi 12 pro is the future phone for redmi 12 turbo. Curved screen, luxury looking camera setup, 12 gb ram, curved and opera pink unique back cover making one only model unbeatablly better than iphone 14. Xiaomi 10 pro international edition with 108 mp camera and curved display looks more advace than this white colour old type camera bazel (10 year old style) back cover. its display cannot even diffrentiate from 12 to 15 k rupees phone. 😂😂

There are really bad 108mpx sensors out there. The good cheap enough ones are 48mpx old flagships or the new 50-ish flagships from Samsung and Sony, like the gn5 and the imx 890 or 888. Remember more mpx doesn't mean better.

I was going to buy the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, same as the Poco F5 but cheaper. To replace my Poco X3 GT, had it for over 2 years. Great Phone. Instead I bought the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ for $299. At Giztop online. Better Display, Camera, and Storage. I live in Chicago USA. No Problems. Can't get rid of the Chinese Apps.

What about price for Europe

Currently torn between the k60E or this. K60E has a 2k display yet this one looks much better.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo seemed very impressive at release, but few days later the Realme GT Neo 5 SE launched at the same price and has a lot of better components. On paper it seems just better in almost every aspect of hardware. But does it work out that way in praxis, can you compare these 2 and tell which is actually better?

Neo 5 SE is only better than Note 12 Turbo in battery and charging. Otherwise it is not significant, like screen, look guys, 1080p and 1240p resolution is not much different unlike 1440p - that's a whole new world. Moreover, 12 Turbo has 12bit - 68B colors full combo Dolby Atmos&Vision and HDR10+ compared to Neo 5 SE only support 10bit - 1B colors and HDR10+. Even LPDDR5X, this is marketing at all, because Snap 7+ Gen 2 only supports LPDDR5, so yeah. If you want a smartphone with a big battery and very-fast charging, choose Neo 5 SE. And if you need an all-rounded device ( 3.5mm jack, OIS stability, thinner bezel and lighter ), Note 12 Turbo definitely is a device for you.

@@giahuy8701 Neo 5 screen is also 40% brighter, in outdooruse that's significant. what I'm not sure about is the performance. Neo 5 claim they have an extra chip for power managment and larger heatsink, does the phone actually last longer than the Note?

@@tuluszungi6332 This is not real time brighter, i pretty sure it in HDR10+ content with small area. Need to wait for third-party testing to find actual peak brightness. If you want a device that lasts longer, i'll say Redmi has an upper hand, because Xiaomi always has a huge community with lots of custom ROMs, you can pick and choose if this guy is EOL. Furthermore, Note 12 Turbo comes with Snapdragon chipset tho

The pocket mode on this phone for sure doesn't work at all. To compare pixel phones works perfectly. Cover the top of the phone and either double tap to wake or wake the display. The screen comes on and is fully interactive. I've pocket dialed numbers today like an old person that doesn't know how to lock their phone. But my phone was locked. What's the point of fitting a proximity sensor if you're not going to use it Xiaomi? It takes seconds to test this, how could you not have tested this before releasing your phone?

Nope, the F5 only has the 256 GB variant, but the only Xiaomi phone that has 1TB globally was the 13T Pro

I need to buy a new phone, and I liked this so much, but I have some concerns about MIUI of Xiaomi .. I have heard a lot about it and I see a lot of complaints about it, so I do not know whether it has improved now or is it still unstable.. Can anyone help me to know?

Xiaomi phones are one of the easiest to put custom ROMs on. I'd just do that

@@frocwin Custom ROMs are not always good, they rely on the maintainer doing a good job, many have issues with bank apps etc which need a load of workarounds. Not worth it these days. MIUI is ok... At the end of the day Pixels have issues, Motorola have many issues, Oneplus have many issues too. Not one can get it right so MIUI doesn't look so bad. Not one uses pure Android these days. Pixels and Motorola's use some of the most "pure" OS but still have many bugs and terrible memory management even with 12GB+.

@@frocwin After my experiences of both of them ROMs I am not planning on running them again any time soon. LineageOS doesn't pass SafetyNet out of the box which is a requirement for 99% of people these days. To fix that you need to root, then you will have the constant battle of fighting banking apps etc, blocking hosts, installing magisk and it's modules, updating them when new problems come, and then still apps detect root or custom ROM being used. Also my fingerprint sensor never worked with LineageOS, it's meant to support all functions that the stock ROM does... It's not something I can be bothered with these days at all when I just want my phone to work. I hope MIUI is running smooth these days, because there is a massive lack of choice. The only other brand I can think of is Nothing phones, with their upcoming Nothing 2.

It's just a Redmi Note 10 Pro with extra storage! The company hasn't made any real progress since the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Only 2 years. Untill MIUI 16 and android 15. But it can be less because Xiaomi (Redmi and Poco included) provides only 2 years or even less for new phones in terms of updates. They used to be more like 5 years when Xiaomi was new since they offered nearly 6 MIUI and 4 android updates for Xiaomi mi 2 and 3 but things has changed.
